Observed handrails loose from ground. CA: CPO will tighten and have all hand railings secure prior to opening the pool

Observed flow rate from the flow meter at 50 gpm; required is 94 gpm to meet 6 hour turnover requirement. CA: CPO immediately boosted the pump; he stated that it would get to 94 gpm within approximately 3 hours.

Hardwired telephone does not connect to emergency services when 911 is dialed - the phone has no dial tone and appears to not be working. CA: Instructed CPO to have the phone repaired before the pool is opened.

Pool does not have the required level of free chlorine; inspector test kit measured free chlorine as "Low". CA: Instructed CPO to maintain free chlorine levels between 2-10 ppm.

Observed pH as "Low" on inspector test kit. CA: Instructed CPO to maintain the pH between 7.2-7.8 for the pool to open.

The pool filter and disinfectant equipment was not turned on at the time of inspection; CPO stated that they run it once in the morning and once in the afternoon. CA: Instructed CPO that the system must be in continuous circulation.

Did not observe a flow rate on the flow rate meter once the recirculation system was turned on. CA: Instructed CPO to ensure the system is working correctly and they are attaining a flow rate of at least 94 gpm for pool to open.
