Regulation: .17((1)(c) - proper disinfectant level
EHS observed free chlorine and total chlorine readings exceeding meter's maxium readable level.
(c) Free Chlorine level in pools using cyanuric acid or a stabilized chlorine product; Minimum 2.0 Ideal 2.0-5.0 Maximum 10.0
Per PIC, pool had not been adjusted for four days. PIC to adjust.
Regulation: 511-3-5-.17(2) - (2) chemical values: ph
pH observed at 8.0
Acceptable range is 7.2-7.8.
PIC to correct.
Regulation: 511-3-5-.17(4) - (4) stabilizer (if used) cyanuric acid, ppm ideal: 30-50 maximum: 90 comments: if stabilizer is: too high: - may reduce chlorine efficacy too low: - chlorine residual rapidly destroyed by sunlight note: stabilizer is not needed in indoor or br
EHS observed cyanuric acid reading at 141 ppm.
Allowable range for cya. acid is under 90 ppm. Chlorine efficacy may be affected.
PIC to reduce to acceptable levels.

Re-inspection
Routine
Regulation: .17(1)(a)(b) - proper disinfectant level
EHS observed Free chlorine and Total chlorine reading too high. Unable to obtain CC number. Per PIC, chlorine was just added to the pool due to rain on yesterday. PIC also provided daily records and chlorine levels was at 2,and 4
(1) Disinfectant Levels (a) Free chlorine, ppm in pools not using cyanuric acid or a stabilized chlorine compound use (b),1.-5. (b) All public pools except as listed below: Minimum 1.0 Ideal 1.0-3.0 Maximum 10.0
Informed PIC to have chemicals adjusted but pool does have to close. This must be corrected by 07/02/24

Regulation: 511-3-5-.16(1) - (1) disinfectant equipment and chemical feeders, such as flow-through chemical feeders, electrolytic chemical generators, mechanical chemical feeders, chemical feed pumps, and automated controllers shall comply with the requirements of nsf standard 5
Observed a chlorine chemical feeder in the pump room, yet the operator on-site stated that they added the liquid chlorine by hand to boost the chlorine levels. (a) Every pool and spa shall be required to have at least one unit of disinfectant agent equipment that introduces the agent through the circulation system in compliance with this rule. EHS informed operator that hand feeding the chlorine is not allowed and that it must be dosed from the chemical feeder.
EHS followed up at at 3:20 PM later on and the chlorine levels were still low.

Observed the wring NO DIVING non-slip were purchased for the pool deck. Per on-site management they correct ones have been ordered and he can provide proof when management provides the account login. (a) The words "No Diving" and the universal international symbol for “NO DIVING” shall be permanently visible at the edge of the deck for water five feet in depth or less, placed only on the deck beside the depth markers, and shall conform to that outlined for depth markers in subsections (3)(a) thru (h) above. EHS had previously spoken with the GM about the lettering being 4 inches.
