Observed low alkalinity and calcium hardness levels. CPO is aware and will make the neccessary corrections.

Observed pool in need of cleaning from excessive sand covering the bottom of the pool. CPO is aware and will address the issue.

Observed pool's chlorine at .49. (c) Free Chlorine level in pools using cyanuric acid or a stabilized chlorine product; Minimum 2.0 Ideal 2.0-5.0 Maximum 10.0. EHS informed PIC of the need to have the CPO adjust the pool water chemistry.

Observed low alkalinity and calcium hardness levels. EHS informed PIC to have the CPO balance the water chemistry.

Observed low flow meter reading. (b) A flow meter measuring the rate of flow through the filter system with an appropriate range readable in gallons per minute (GPM) and accurate within ten percent actual flow shall be provided. The flow indicator shall be capable of measuring from one-half to at least one and one-half times the design flow rate. The gauge shall be located after the filtering equipment and in such location on the return line, so as to measure the total amount of water returning to the pool according to the manufacturer’s installation specifications. EHS informed PIC to notify CPO for repairs.

Observed NO DIVING not present on the pool deck. Per PIC, the vinyl stickers came up. (a) The words "No Diving" and the universal international symbol for “NO DIVING” shall be permanently visible at the edge of the deck for water five feet in depth or less, placed only on the deck beside the depth markers, and shall conform to that outlined for depth markers in subsections (3)(a) thru (h) above. EHS informed him that they may have to go with the spray painted stencils as the symbols are a requirement.

Observed low calcium hardness levels. EHS informed PIC, who will inform the CPO.

Observed pool's chlorine at .37. (c) Free Chlorine level in pools using cyanuric acid or a stabilized chlorine product; Minimum 2.0 Ideal 2.0-5.0 Maximum 10.0. EHS informed PIC of the need to have the CPO adjust the pool water chemistry.

Observed pool's PH at 8. (2) Chemical Values: pH 7.2 7.4-7.6 7.8 Alkalinity (buffering), 60 ppm 80-100 halogens compounds with high pH 180 ppm as CaC03 100-120 halogen compounds with low pH Calcium hardness, ppm, CaCo3 150 200-400 to balance water 1000. EHS informed PIC of the for the CPO to adjust the water chemistry.

Observed buoy ring in men's restroom with no rope present. (b) A minimum one-fourth inch diameter throwing rope one and one-half times the maximum width of the pool or fifty feet in length, whichever is less, to which has been firmly attached a ring buoy with an outside diameter of approximately fifteen inches or a similar flotation device which is U.S. Coast Guard approved. EHS informed PIC that the rope should be 1.5 times the width of the pool.

Observed No Diving Symbol on the pool deck or wall. b) Where no lifeguard is on duty, a sign or signs shall be placed in clear view at or near the entrance to the pool and shall state in clearly legible letters at least four inches high “WARNING - NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY and RISK OF DROWNING - SUPERVISE CHILDREN CLOSELY”. PIC is aware of the need to purchase the symbols.

Observed other chemical readings not within the required ranges. EHS informed PIC of the need to have the CPO balance the water chemistry.

Observed emergency not in operation. (c) An operable, hard-wired, conventional telephone line or continuous powered source, weatherproof emergency phone shall be permanently installed in a conspicuous location within the pool enclosure and must be readily available to bathers at all times. The emergency phone shall be capable of connecting to 911 and electronically transferring an automatic number identification and automatic locator identification of the pool emergency phone to the public safety answering point, if available. A 911 sign or the names and phone numbers of the nearest available police, fire, ambulance service or rescue unit shall be posted nearby. EHS informed PIC of the need to have the phone serviced.

Observed pool signage not posted. Per PIC, the signage has been purchased and just needs to be placed on the deck.

Observed depth marker, diving symbol and no DIVING not present on the pool deck and the no diving symbol not present on the pool wall at each depth marker. a) The words "No Diving" and the universal international symbol for “NO DIVING” shall be permanently visible at the edge of the deck for water five feet in depth or less, placed only on the deck beside the depth markers, and shall conform to that outlined for depth markers in subsections (3)(a) thru (h) above. EHS informed PIC and ASP owner of the need to install the items noted above.
