Permit/Opening
1 - barrier: pool enclosed/fencing in compliance
Regulation: 511-3-5-.18(11)(a) - (11) barriers. all outdoor swimming pools and spas shall be enclosed by a barrier to prevent entry to the pool area when the pool is closed. (a) the top of the barrier shall be at least forty eight inches above grade maesured on the side of the bar
Observed exterior club house door not self-closing and self-latching./ Exterior Clubhouse door must be closed and locked at all times because it is not self-closing & self-latching.
2 - self-closing / self-latching gates
Regulation: 511-3-5-.18(11)(h) - (h) access gates shall also comply with the requirements of this rule and shall be equipped to accommodate a locking device. barrier gates shall open away from the pool in facilities constructed after adoption of this chapter. pedestrian access gates
Observed both pool gates not self-closing at all angles and self-latching./ Latch or release mechanism must be located on the pool side and be installed at least 3 inches down from the top of the gate.
11 - appropriate lifesaving equipment present
Regulation: 511-3-5-.18(10)(b) - (b) a minimum one-fourth inch diameter throwing rope one and one-half times the maximum width of the pool or fifty feet in length, whichever is less, to which has been firmly attached a ring buoy with an outside diameter of approximately fifteen inch

3 - compliant drain covers secure, present and no cracks
Could not observe main drains.
4 - water clarity: main drains clearly visible

5 - emergency phone operational and accessible
Regulation: 511-3-5-.18(10)(c ) - (c) an operable, hard-wired, conventional telephone line or continuous powered source, weatherproof emergency phone shall be permanently installed in a conspicuous location within the pool enclosure and must be readily available to bathers at all tim
Observed no emergency phone installed./ Phone must be hard-wired and accesible from the pool deck.
6 - proper disinfectant level
Observed no disinfectant in the pool
7 - ph between 7.2 and 7.8
Regulation: 511-3-5-.17(2) - (2) chemical values: ph
pH must be between 7.2 and 7.8.
8 - chemical feeder operational and approved
Regulation: 511-3-5-.23(5)(c ) - (c) the pump, automatic disinfectant equipment, or other equipment necessary for continuous filtration and disinfection of the swimming pool, spa, or recreational water park attraction is not working or is unable to maintain adequate turnover rate.
Observed water not cycling through pump./Pump must be on and moving water.
9 - filter: approved, maintained and operating
Could not observe filter operating.
10 - pump: approved, maintained and operating
Observed pump not cycling water through system.
36 - daily recordkeeping: water testing and self inspection performed
Observed no log book for recording pool chemcal readingings.
32 - operator training certification available onsite and approved
Regulation: 511-3-5-.22(2) - (2) the trained operator shall have a current certificate showing completion of an approved operator training course. a copy or the original certificate or documentation shall be available onsite for inspection by the health authority.
Observed no CPO at time of inspection. /Pool needs at least one certified pool operater working on pool.
12 - grab/hand rails, ladders installed and secure
Regulation: 511-3-5-.06(3)(f)1. - 1. handrails, if removable, shall be installed in such a way that they cannot be removed without the use of tools.
Observed handrails and ladders not secured./ secure so they do not shake when grabbed.
16 - pool deck: maintained, unobstructed and clean
Regulation: 511-3-5-.06(1)(i) - (i) a four foot minimum continuous unobstructed deck, which may include the coping, shall be provided around at least 50 percent or more of a spa.
Observe trash and debris on poo deck. Observed furniture obbstructing the path of the deck./ Deck must have 4 feet of unubstructed walking area around the pool.
22 - signs: peak occupancy/pool/spa/signs legible and in clearview
Regulation: 511-3-5-.18(12)(c) - (c) the same sign in subsection (b) above or an additional sign will state under the heading “pool risks” the following items in clearly legible letters at least one inch high:

29 - toilets & lavatories: clean, maintained, and stocked
Regulation: 511-3-5-.19(2)(e ) - (e) soap dispensers for providing either liquid or powdered soap shall be provided at each lavatory. the dispenser shall be of all metal or plastic. no glass shall be permitted in these units.
Observed no hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper and a trashcan with a lid./Bathroom must be stocked and ready for use
30 - deck/rinse shower maintained
Regulation: 511-3-5-.18(17) - (17) a minimum of one rinse shower shall be provided on the pool deck of all public pools and spas. water used for rinse showers may be at ambient temperature.
Observed pool shower not operational.
