Observed facility to not have gas fired inspection complete.

RCA: Told PIC that they need to have inspection done within the next 6 months. All gas-fired equipment shall be inspected at least annually by a qualified licensed contractor or local fire authority, if available

Observed high water temperature in rooms inspected. Temps over 120F.

RCA: In all new tourist accommodations, and where possible in existing tourist accommodations, hot water in all guest rooms shall not exceed 1200F

Observed build up in ice machine on all floors.

RCA: Informed PIC to increase cleaning of ice machines. In existing tourist accommodations permitted prior to the adoption of this rule, the use of existing self-service ice-storage bins may be continued, provided that the machines are maintained in good repair and capable of being properly cleaned and sanitized according to the manufacturer’s recommendations

Observed that the annual gas fired equipment inspection wasn't accessible upon request. Rule: All gas-fired equipment shall be inspected at least annually by a qualified licensed contractor or local fire authority, if available. Points to be inspected are proper construction and installation, malfunctions and adjustments of controls and burners, faulty heat exchangers and vent obstructions. Any defects found on inspection must be corrected by a qualified heating contractor prior to use of the equipment. Upon request, the operator shall provide evidence of inspection and/or correction of any deficiency

Observed staining on mattress topper in room 317. Staining on comforter in room 310. Rule: All furniture, draperies, appliances, carpets, and other accessories, in the tourist accommodation must be maintained in good repair, clean, and free of vermin

Observed a container of yogurt being stored on the shelf with clean linen. Observed a used water bottle being stored on top of clean linen.

COS/CA: PIC removed items from clean linens and placed contaminated linens in dirty laundry to be washed. Clean linen shall be kept separated and free of personal items, pests, vermin, dust, and moisture

PIC could not provide annual gas fired equipment form at the time of inspection.

RCA: All gas-fired equipment shall be inspected at least annually by a qualified licensed contractor or local fire authority, if available. A DPH Gas fired Inspection form will be left with PIC

Observed staining on backside of drapes in room 203. Observed stains on chair cushions in room 212 and 214. Observed small holes and stains on bottom of sleeper sofa mattress in room 219. Observed stains on chair cushions in room 219. Observed loose bathroom sink faucet in room 219.

RCA: All furniture, draperies, appliances, carpets, and other accessories, in the tourist accommodation, whether the property of the tourist accommodation owner or not, shall be considered the property of and furnished by the tourist accommodation for purposes of enforcement of this Chapter, and must be maintained in good repair, clean, and free of vermin

Observed mildew like substance on all AC vents of rooms inspected. RCA: The current ventilation must prevent odor, mold, mildew, and moisture
