-Observed multiple employee beverages stored on and over prep areas. CA: PIC removed beverages. RCA: Educated PIC on employee drinks. Drinks must have lid and straw. Drinks cannot be stored over or on prep areas. Drinks also cannot be stored over or next to food product, single service items or clean dishes.
10D - food properly labeled; original container
Regulation: 511-6-1.04(4)(d) - food storage containers identified with common name of food (c)
Ensure all containers/sauce containers labeled with common name of food. RCA: Except for containers holding food that can be readily and unmistakably recognized, such as dry pasta, working containers holding food or food ingredients that are removed from their original packages for use in the food establishment, such as cooking oils, flour, herbs, potato flakes, salt, spices, and sugar shall be clearly and legibly identified, in English, with the common name of the food.

-Observed grill utensils stored in standing water. CA: PIC removed utensils and replaced with clean utensils. RCA: Utensils must be stored in clean dry location, in food product with handle facing out, or in water hot-held above 135 degrees F.

-Observed single service "to-go" containers being used as scoops in bulk storage containers (flour, rice, sugar etc.). CA: PIC removed containers. RCA: Educated PIC on using food grade scoops with handle.

-Observed employee cell phone stored over prep table. CA: PIC removed cell phone. RCA: Educated PIC on proper storage of employee items. Items cannot be stored over or on prep areas. Items can also not be stored over or next to food product, single service items or clean dishes.
