Observed running water at handwashing sink in front food service area only getting to 89ºF after running for several minutes. A handwashing sink shall be equipped to provide tempered water at a temperature of at least 100ºF (38ºC) through a mixing valve or combination faucet. Must adjust hot water heater until handwashing sink is at 100ºF.

Observed current sanitizer being used for vomit & diarrhea clean up procedure (EPA reg. no 10324-154-65239) not EPA approved for being effective against norovirus. Must obtain sanitizer that is EPA approved for killing norovirus. Will email PIC list of sanitizers on EPA website. Health Authority recommends obtaining a quat sanitizer that is effective against norovirus to use for cleaning food contact surfaces & cleaning up vomit and diarrhea, as the current quat used for food contact surfaces (EPA reg. no 6836-278-3573) is not effective.

Missing coved base. All facilities must have a coved base for cleaning in the kitchen area. In food service establishments in which cleaning methods other than water flushing are used for cleaning floors, the floor and wall junctures shall be coved and closed to no larger than one thirty-second inch (1 mm).
