Observed minimal mold-like build up inside ice machine. Food contact surfaces shall be cleaned at a rate that precludes soil accumulation. Must deep clean inside of ice machine within 72 hours. Health Authority highly recommends cleaning at least monthly.

Observed pre-portioned salad and ranch cups sitting outside of temperature control and temping above 41°F. These items must be maintained at 41°F or below unless placed on a 4 hour time as a public health control (TPHC) procedure. COS by moving to cooler.

Observed custodian not followung required procedure for vomiting and diarrheal events. During inspection, a child threw up in cafeteria and custodian wasn't knowledgeable on clean-up procedure. Custodian didn't know what chemical to use, didn't wear gloves, and was attempting to use broom to sweep up throw up. Per the district SOP disposable should be used; custodian did not follow any steps specified in SOP properly. Custodian stated she wasn't trained on clean-up procedure. COS by explaining procedure to PIC and following proper clean-up procedure.
NOTE: Rapid Multi Surface Disinfectant Cleaner is now being used. Chemical is effective against norovirus.
