Observed several boxes of food and beverages stored directly on the floor of WIC and dry storage area in main kitchen and front food service snack bar.

C/A: Except as specified in paragraphs 2 and 3 of this subsection, food shall be protected from contamination by storing the food:

(i) In a clean, dry location;

(ii) Where it is not exposed to splash, dust, or other contamination; and

(iii) At least 6 inches (15 cm) above the floor.

COS: Staff informed, employees stored food properly.

1. Observed pink and black accumulation inside ice machine in main kitchen.
2. Observed black reside along interior of ice chute on drink machine in front food service area.
3. Observed black residue and food accumulated on can opener blade at prep table in main kitchen.

C/A: Equipment food-contact surfaces and utensils shall be clean to sight and touch.

COS: All equipment cleaned and sanitized.
