6 - proper disinfectant level
13-189(c)(1): If stabilizing agents are used (OUTSIDE POOLS) a free-chlorine residual shall be maintained at a concentration of no less than 3ppm, and not exceed 10ppm. Observed chlorine at 0.73ppm.
8 - chemical feeder operational and approved
13-197(a): The water in each pool shall be continuously chemically treated with an approved disinfecting agent, with associated, approved equipment. Observed no chlorine tablets in the chlorinator, and the base was being held with duct tape. Could not confirm that chlorinator was operating continuously.
11 - appropriate lifesaving equipment present
13-202(d): Each pool shall be provided with a Coast Guard approved lifesaving ring with a throwing rope that is as long as 1.5x the max width of the pool. Observed ring without a rope attached.
36 - daily recordkeeping: water testing and self inspection performed
13-189(c)(4): The pool shall be tested for the disinfectant level and pH at least 2 times daily. Log book available but unable to verify records due to water damage rendering all pages unreadable.
19 - adequate turnover rate
13-205(b)(1): The flowrate should allow for one turnover every 6 hours. Observed flowrate at only 85 GPM.
13 - float line in position
13-202(l): Tightly stretched float line shall be installed across pool along slope-breaks in pools where depths exceed 5'. Observed no float line, but pool depth ranges to 8' deep.
17 - skimmers/gutters maintained and operable
13-190(a): Skimmers/gutters shall function properly and be maintained in a clean condition. Observed skimmers completely full of debris and unclean. Top was very difficult to open.
21 - cyanuric acid level not exceeding maximum
13-189(c)(2): Cyanuric acid levels shall not exceed 100ppm. Observed cyanuric acid levels at 125ppm.
32 - operator training certification available onsite and approved
18-187(c): A copy of the pool operator's certificate shall be conspicuously displayed near the operating permit. Observed no pool operator's certificate present on site. CPO also not present during inspection.
22 - signs: peak occupancy/pool/spa/signs legible and in clearview
13-202(m): Safety rules and regulations must contain at minimum the 12 statements in the pool code on pg. 42 for a pool. Observed missing bather load, and all statements were no larger than 1" in size.

13-189(a)(5): All pools shall be kept free from sediment, dirt, and debris by frequent brushing and vacuuming of the bottom and sidewalls. Observed debris floating in pool and on surface. Observed scum that has accumulated on pool walls in the deep end.
