Regulation: 511-6-1.03(5)(g) - jewelry (c)
Observation: Observed food employees wearing jewelry other than a plain band ring on their hands/arms while preparing food. One employee was observed wearing rubber wristbands, and another employee was wearing a wristband while preparing a food order.
Corrective Action: Employees were instructed to remove the wristbands. Jewelry was removed during the inspection.
Violation: Food employees may not wear jewelry on their hands or arms while preparing food, except for a plain band ring.
14A - in-use utensils: properly stored
Regulation: 511-6-1.04(4)(k) - in-use utensils, between-use storage (c)
Observation: Observed in-use grill utensils stored in standing water measuring below 135°F. Utensils designated for cleaning were stored in water that was below the required temperature.
Corrective Action: Utensils were removed and instructed to be properly washed, rinsed, and sanitized. Staff were advised that in-use utensils stored in water must be maintained at 135°F or above.
Violation: In-use utensils stored in standing water must be maintained at a temperature of at least 135°F to prevent contamination.
