8 - annual gas fired equipment inspection on file; gas units equipped with automatic safety and/or 100% cut-off pilot
CA: All gas-fired equipment shall be inspected at least annually by a qualified licensed contractor or local fire authority, if avaiable. Points to be inspected are proper construction and installation, malfunctions and adjustments of controls and burners, faulty heat exchangers and vent obstructions. Any defects found on inspection must be corrected by a qualified heating contractor prior to use of the equipment. Upon request, the operator shall provide evidence of inspection and/or correction of any deficiency.
OBSERVATION: Gas fire inspection report not provided during the time of inspection.

27 - all furniture, waste receptacles, draperies, carpets; clean, and in good repair, considered the property of and furnished by the tourist accommodation
Regulation: 511-6-2-.14(5) - condition of furnishings
CA: All furniture, draperies, appliances, carpets, and other accessories, in the tourist accommodation, whether the property of the tourist accommodation owner or not, shall be considered the property of and furnished by the tourist accommodation for purposes of enforcement of this Chapter, and must be maintained in good repair, clean, and free of vermin.
OBSERVATION: Room 113: Curtain has a stain and towel rack is loose. Toilet tissue holder in room 304 is broken and phone is unclean with debris
28 - beds, mattresses, mattress pads, springs, frames, pillows, and bed coverings clean; vermin free and in good condition; bed linen properly supplied, changed and laundered
Regulation: 511-6-2-.14(6) - bed, bedding, and linens
CA: Washable mattress pads or covers shall be used on all mattresses. Beds, mattresses, springs, slats, mattress pads, mattress and bed coverings, pillow and pillow covers shall be clean and free from vermin.
Observation: Mattress pad in rooms 213 and 304 have hole. Mattress cover is stained in room 304
10 - permit and inspection report current and properly displayed; pic assigned

CA: The most recent tourist accommodation inspection report form shall be prominently displayed in public view at all times, between five feet and seven feet from the floor and in a public area such as the registration desk, where it can be read at a distance of one foot away. OBSERVATION: Inspection report is not posted in public view
33 - housekeeping carts and storage areas maintained; clean/sanitized items protected from contamination
Regulation: 511-6-2-.17(2) - housekeeping carts
CA: Any spray bottle used in cleaning a tourist room or stored on the housekeeping cart shall be labeled with its contents. Cleaners and sanitizer shall be used according to the manufacturer’s use direction and label.
OBSERVATION: Several sprays bottles containing chemicals observed on the housekeeping cart without labels.
COS: Person in charge began labeling chemical spray bottles
Discussed with PIC to ensure that by the end of the day that all chemical bottles are properly labeled and carts are reorganized to keep chemicals, personal items and left behind guest items separate from clean items
