Observed ice scoop with handle in contact with ice. CA: In a clean, protected location if the utensils, such as ice scoops, are used only with a food that is not time/temperature control for safety food. COS: Scoop was removed from ice-machine and placed into handle holder.
15C - nonfood-contact surfaces clean
Regulation: 511-6-1.05(7)(a)2,3 - equipment, food/nonfood-contact surfaces, and utensils, food-contact surfaces of cooking equipment & nonfood-contact surfaces free of accumulations (c)
Observed food debris accumulated on kitchen floor and under multiple areas of equipment. Observed reach in coolers unclean to sight and touch. CA: Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment shall be kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris.
17D - adequate ventilation and lighting; designated areas used
Regulation: 511-6-1.07(4)(b) - designated areas for employee activity, located to prevent contamination of food, equipment, utensils, linens, & single service articles (c)
Observed 2 employee cell phones stored on the counter in the food preparation area. Personal items may not be stored in food prep or food-contact areas. CA: Food shall be protected from contamination that may result from a factor or source. COS: PIC removed cell phones from counters.
