Regulation: 511-6-1.07(3)(b) - hand drying provision (pf)
Observed no paper towels at the handwashing sink. CA: Each handwashing sink or group of adjacent handwashing sinks shall be provided with 1. Individual, disposable towels;2. A continuous towel system that supplies the user with a clean towel;3. A heated-air hand drying device; or 4. A hand drying device that employs an air-knife system that delivers high velocity, pressurized air at ambient temperatures. PIC provided paper towels at the handwashing sink.
8-2B - toxic substances properly identified, stored, used
Regulation: 511-6-1.07(6)(b) - working containers, common name (pf)
Observed chlorine in a dishwashing liquid container at three compartment sink. CA: Working containers used for storing poisonous or toxic materials such as cleaners and sanitizers taken from bulk supplies shall be clearly and individually identified with the common name of the material. PIC will the container with the common name.
18 - insects, rodents, and animals not present
Regulation: 511-6-1.07(2)(m) - outer openings protected (c)
Observed drywall where floor meets the wall under three compartment sink missing. CA: 1. Except as specified in paragraphs 2 through 5 of this subsection, outer openings of a food service establishment shall be protected against the entry of insects and rodents by: (i) Filling or closing holes and other gaps along floors, walls, and ceilings; (ii) Closed, tight-fitting windows; and (iii) Solid, self-closing, tight-fitting doors. PIC will have drywall repaired.
17A - toilet facilities: properly constructed, supplied, cleaned
Regulation: 511-6-1.07(5)(h) - cleaning plumbing fixtures- handsinks, urinals & toilets (c)
Observed toilet in restroom lid and seat broken. CA: Plumbing fixtures such as handwashing sinks, toilets, and urinals shall be cleaned as often as necessary to keep them clean and maintained. PIC will have toilet lid and seat replaced.
17B - garbage/refuse properly disposed; facilities maintained
Regulation: 511-6-1.06(5)(n) - covering receptacles (c)
Observed dumpster lids not closed. CA: Receptacles and waste handling units for refuse, recyclables, and returnables shall be kept covered: 2. With tight-fitting lids or doors if kept outside the food service establishment. PIC closed dumpster lids.
17B - garbage/refuse properly disposed; facilities maintained
Regulation: 511-6-1.06(5)(o),(p) - using drain plugs; maintaining refuse areas (c)
Observed debris around dumpster area. CA: Maintaining Refuse Areas and Enclosures. A storage area and enclosure for refuse, recyclables, or returnables shall be maintained free of unnecessary items and clean. PIC will have debris picked up and put in dumpster.
17C - physical facilities installed, maintained, and clean
Regulation: 511-6-1.07(2)(a) - floor, walls, & ceilings, cleanability (c)
Observed the floor tile throughout the facility not in good repair. CA: Except as specified under subsection (2)(d) of this Rule and except for antislip floor coverings or applications that may be used for safety reasons, floors, floor coverings, walls, wall coverings, and ceilings shall be designed, constructed, and installed so they are smooth and easily cleanable. PIC will have the floor repaired.
