Observed smoke detectors in rooms 221 and 223 not functioning. CA: Discussed with PIC. Batteries were replaced and all smoke detectors were found to be operational

Observed blown light bulbs in rooms 206 and 223. CA: Discussed with PIC. Housekeeping was assigned to replace all bulbs

Observed dirty air filters in A/C units in hallways on floors 2 and 3. CA: Discussed with PIC. Housekeeping was assigned to clean all A/C air filters on site

Observed daylight underneath doors leading from interior hallways of first floor to parking lot and outdoor walkways when closed. CA: Discussed with PIC. Work order will be submitted to have proper thresholds installed at all exterior doors on the first floor to eliminate gaps

Observed cleaning chemical spill on floor of main laundry room. PIC stated it had been present for several days. CA: Discussed with PIC. Employees were assigned to clean spill on site

Observed old/unused equipment, including microwaves, TVs, mattresses, etc., stored in main laundry room. CA: Discussed with PIC. All broken and unused equipment will be removed and to eliminate potential harborage of pests

Observation: Observed door leading from the interior of the hotel to the pool not properly closing/ latching when shut.

Corrective Action: Discussed having door serviced so that it will properly shut when not in use with the PIC. The PIC will have the door serviced. This will be rechecked by the Health Department

Observed smoke detector in room 323 not operating properly. CA: Discussed ensuring all smoke detectors function properly with PIC. PIC will have smoke detector serviced prior to the room being rented

Observed single service items placed in all rooms inspected not commercially pre-wrapped. Observed single use coffee cups and lids placed in rooms not being commercially pre-wrapped. CA: Discussed ensuring all single use items placed in guestrooms are commercially prewrapped. PIC will replace cups with commercially prewrapped single use cups

Observed black build-up on interior surfaces of ice machine on first floor. Observed black build-up around exterior gasket of ice machine. CA: Discussed proper cleaning schedule and methods with PIC. Ice machine will be properly cleaned and sanitized prior to operation. Discussed replacing exterior gasket to ensure that it is properly cleanable. This will be rechecked by the Health Department
