Observed that the current inspection report was not posted. (CA) Advised the PIC to post the most current inspection report. The most recent tourist accommodation inspection report form shall be prominently displayed in public view at all times, between five feet and seven feet from the floor and in a public area such as the registration desk, where it can be read at a distance of one foot away
17 - proper ventilation; no sign of mold, mildew, odors or moisture
Regulation: 511-6-2-.08(5) - toilet and bathing ventilation
Observed in rooms 627, 316 and 212 the exhaust fan was not operable. (CA) Advised the PIC to repair the exhaust fans in 627, 316 and 212. Toilet, lavatory and bathing facilities shall be mechanically ventilated. Where ventilation ducts are used, ducts from toilet rooms shall not be connected into return ventilation ducts to any other room. In existing tourist accommodations permitted prior to the adoption of this rule, the current ventilation must prevent odor, mold, mildew, and moisture. All new or major renovation of a tourist accommodation will require mechanical ventilation to be installed to the outside of the building separate from heating and air-condition systems
