8 - annual gas fired equipment inspection on file; gas units equipped with automatic safety and/or 100% cut-off pilot
Regulation: 511-6-2-.15(3) - heating and fire safety-equipment/appliances
Observed failure to have the current gas fired inspection report on file. I advised the engineer to contact a licensed inspector to do the inspection. 511-6-2-.15(3) - Heating and Fire Safety-Equipment/Appliances All automatic natural gas heating equipment shall be equipped with automatic safety pilot. All liquefied petroleum gas burning appliances shall be equipped with 100% safety cut-off pilot
17 - proper ventilation; no sign of mold, mildew, odors or moisture
Regulation: 511-6-2-.08(5) - toilet and bathing ventilation
Observed failure to repair or have working vents in about 15 bathrooms. I advised the head of house keeping to contact the engineers to repair the vents. 511-6-2-.08(5) - Toilet and Bathing Ventilation Toilet, lavatory and bathing facilities shall be mechanically ventilated. Where ventilation ducts are used, ducts from toilet rooms shall not be connected into return ventilation ducts to any other room. In existing tourist accommodations permitted prior to the adoption of this rule, the current ventilation must prevent odor, mold, mildew, and moisture. All new or major renovation of a tourist accommodation will require mechanical ventilation to be installed to the outside of the building separate from heating and air-condition systems
33 - housekeeping carts and storage areas maintained; clean/sanitized items protected from contamination

On the 8th floor, observed single use cups were kept in contact with cleaning chemicals on the cart. I advised the head of house keeping to always keep food utensils far from chemicals. 511-6-2-.17(2) - Housekeeping Carts Housekeeper carts shall be so arranged that clean replacement supplies, clean linens, and cleaned and sanitized multi-use equipment and utensils shall be protected from soiled items being removed from each room. Soiled linens and refuse shall be placed in appropriate containers on housekeepers’ carts. Any spray bottle used in cleaning a tourist room or stored on the housekeeping cart shall be labeled with its contents. Cleaners and sanitizer shall be used according to the manufacturer’s use direction and label
