13 - water glasses and multi-use utensils; washed, rinsed, and sanitized in an approved manner: 3 compartment sink, commercial dishwasher, approved guestroom kitchenette dishwasher or single service items provided
Regulation: 511-6-2-.07(5)(b) - in-room dishwasher
Observed the facility does not have test strips to properly test the dishwashers to ensure that the water temperature is getting hot enough to sanitize the dishes. Test strips were left in each dishwasher to ensure compliance. Please email pictures of each test strip to ensure that the dishes are being sanitized.
Room 410: Observed clean dishes stored in the cabinet with build up (rust build up and old food debris).
511-6-2-.07(5)(b) - In-Room Dishwasher If a warewasher is provided in the room of the tourist accommodation, or if the operators provide a non-commercial warewasher (i.e. dishwasher) to clean and sanitize multi-use equipment and utensils between room occupancies, then the machine must comply with the following:
- The warewasher must be able to remove all physical soil from all surfaces of dishes and;
- Be equipped with a high temperature rinse cycle such as a sani-cycle and all cycles on the machine must be used ( prewash, wash, sanitizing rinse) and be certified by NSF standards or;
- If no high temperature rinse cycle is provided, the hot water supplied to the machine must be at a minimum of 155º F (68º C). The operator shall use a maximum registering thermometer or a heat thermal label to assure that the sanitizing rinse water temperature is a minimum of 155ºF (68ºC). The operator must record quarterly each warewasher temperature reading for review at the discretion of the Health Authority

Room 410: Observed a light yellow stain on the pillow and a stain on the comforter stored in the cabinet. Room 315: Observed a stain on the mattress cover. Observed stains on the pullout couch. Room 304: Observed stains on the headboard. Room 128: Observed the sofa couch with stains on pillow and mattress. Room 119: Observed staining on the pillowcase, sheet, and the mattress of the bed.
511-6-2-.14(6) - Bed, Bedding, and Linens Washable mattress pads or covers shall be used on all mattresses. Beds, mattresses, springs, slats, mattress pads, mattress and bed coverings, pillow and pillow covers shall be clean and free from vermin. Each bed shall be provided, as a minimum, with two sheets and one pillow and pillowcase. After each occupancy and upon the request of the occupant, sheets and pillowcases shall be changed with fresh laundered linens. During occupancy, linens shall be changed at a minimum frequency of not less than weekly

Room 216: Observed a chemical bottle stored on the desk in without a name to properly identify it.
511-6-2-.17(2) - Housekeeping Carts Housekeeper carts shall be so arranged that clean replacement supplies, clean linens, and cleaned and sanitized multi-use equipment and utensils shall be protected from soiled items being removed from each room. Soiled linens and refuse shall be placed in appropriate containers on housekeepers’ carts. Any spray bottle used in cleaning a tourist room or stored on the housekeeping cart shall be labeled with its contents. Cleaners and sanitizer shall be used according to the manufacturer’s use direction and label
