12A - contamination prevented during food preparation, storage, display
Regulation: 511-6-1.04(4)(q) - food storage (c)
Observed food stored on floor throughout the kitchen and storage areas. Boxes of sugar stored on the floor observed with liquid spilt on them were discarded in ice cream area. CA: Food shall be stored at least six inches off the floor. COS: Items were relocated to shelving; damaged items were discarded.

Observed significant gap at back door. CA: Doors shall be tight fitting. Provide documentation of repair to Jill.Reade@dph.ga.gov.

Observed live flies in kitchen and drive through area. CA: The presence of insects, rodents, and other pests shall be controlled to minimize their presence on the premises. Pest control was contacted during inspection. Also discussed ensuring automatic closure is on for drive through window, removing trash more frequently, food is covered, and repairing back door to minimize fly activity.

Regulation: 511-6-1.05(7)(a)2,3 - equipment, food/nonfood-contact surfaces, and utensils, food-contact surfaces of cooking equipment & nonfood-contact surfaces free of accumulations (c)
Observed significant build up on shelving near grill, in use utensil area, fry holder area, reach in coolers, reach in freezers, reach in drawers under grill, and dry storage area. CA: Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment shall be kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris. COS: All areas shall be thoroughly cleaned and documentation provided to Jill.Reade@dph.ga.gov.
