2-2E - response procedures for vomiting & diarrheal events
Regulation: 511-6-1.03(6) - clean-up of vomiting and diarrheal events(pf)
Observed no bodily fluid clean up kit available on site during inspection. CA: A food establishment shall have written procedures for employees to follow and an EPA registered disinfectant effective against Norovirus available on-site at the food service establishment when responding to vomiting or diarrheal events that involve the discharge of vomitus or fecal matter onto surfaces in the food service establishment. PIC will have bodily fluid clean up available by correct by date.
4-2B - food-contact surfaces: cleaned & sanitized
Regulation: 511-6-1.05(7)(b) - food contact surfaces and utensils - cleaning frequency (p, c)
Observed ice machine not maintained clean to sight and touch. CA: In equipment such as ice makers should be cleaned at a frequency necessary to preclude accumulation of soil or mold. COS: PIC had ice machine cleaned and sanitized.
12B - personal cleanliness
Regulation: 511-6-1.03(5)(j) - hair restraints (c)
Observed food employees preparing and handling food without wearing proper hair restraints. CA: Employees preparing or handling food shall use effective and clean, disposable or easily cleanable nets or other hair restraints approved by the Health Authority, worn properly to restrain loose hair including beards and mustaches longer than one half inch. COS: PIC notified all employees to have proper hair restraints.
12B - personal cleanliness
Regulation: 511-6-1.03(5)(g) - jewelry (c)
Observed employees handling food while wearing bracelet. CA: Except for a plain ring such as a wedding band food employees may not wear jewelry including medical information jewelry on their arms and hands while preparing food. COS PIC had employee remove jewelry.
12B - personal cleanliness
Regulation: 511-6-1.03(5)(f) - fingernails (pf)
Observed employees with painted nails preparing food without wearing gloves. CA: Employees shall keep their fingernails clean and trimmed to no longer than the tips of the fingers. Unless wearing gloves in good repair, a food employee may not wear fingernail polish or artificial fingernails when working with exposed food. COS: PIC had employees wear gloves.
