Observed flow meter ball not free-flowing. A flow meter measuring the rate of flow through the filter system with an appropriate range readable in gallons per minute (GPM) and accurate within ten percent actual flow shall be provided. The flow indicator shall be capable of measuring from one-half to at least one and one-half times the design flow rate. The gauge shall be located after the filtering equipment and in such location on the return line, so as to measure the total amount of water returning to the pool according to the manufacturer’s installation specifications.

Observed telephone was not easily accessible at the time of the inspection. Waterproof box was jammed closed and could not open without extreme force. Once opened, phone was operable. An operable, hard-wired, conventional telephone line or continuous powered source, weatherproof emergency phone shall be permanently installed in a conspicuous location within the pool enclosure and must be readily available to bathers at all times.

Observed pH was reading 8.3 ppm on testing device which is above the maximum required level.

Observed Calcium hardness measuring (138ppm) below minimum required level of 150ppm.

Observed all ring buoy edges ripped open. Rope attached is not long enough.

511-3-5-.22(9) - (9) Water Testing Frequency. (9) Water Testing Frequency. The trained operator or responsible person shall collect water samples from the water in the pool for monitoring. An in-line sampling port may be used for water held in reservoirs. The water quality testing frequency shall be as follows:

(a) For pools, free available chlorine or total bromine and pH shall be tested a minimum of two times daily during the hours of operation. (b) Total alkalinity shall be tested weekly and calcium hardness shall be tested monthly. (c) If stabilized chlorine is used as the primary disinfectant, the operator shall test cyanuric acid every two weeks. Otherwise, cyanuric acid shall be tested monthly. Cyanuric acid shall be tested twenty-four hours after addition to the water. (d) For spas and hot water venues, free available chlorine, total bromine, pH and water temperature shall be tested prior to opening and recorded every four hours.
