Observed food in cold storage in walk in cooler stored under employee personal items. Food may not be stored in locker rooms; toilet rooms; dressing rooms; garbage rooms; mechanical room; under sewer lines that are not shielded to intercept potential drips; under leaking water lines, including automatic fire sprinkler heads, or under lines on which water has condensed; under open stairwells; or under other sources of contamination. PIC to move items.

Observed presence of flies inside cabinets of self service soda fountain. The presence of insects, rodents, and other pests shall be controlled to minimize their presence on the premises by 1) Routinely inspecting incoming shipments of food and supplies; 2) Routinely inspecting the premises for evidence of pests; using methods if pests found, such as trapping devices or other means of pest control as specified under as specified under (6)(e) and (6)(n) of this Rule and 4) Eliminating harborage conditions. PIC was notified to clean the cabinets.

Observed air conditioning ventilation not working. If necessary to keep rooms free of excessive heat, steam, condensation, vapors , obnoxious odors , smoke and fumes, mechanical ventilation of sufficient capacity shall be provided. Restaurant owner stated A/C parts are expected to be installed by 6/1/2024.

Observed build-up inside of the ice chute of self serve drink fountain. Clean food contact surfaces at a frequency to prevent build-up (clean to sight and touch). PIC to have ice chute cleaned.

Soiled receptacles and waste handling units for refuse, recyclables, and returnables shall be cleaned at a frequency necessary to prevent them from developing a buildup of soil or becoming attractants for insects and rodents. PIC to have the used grease container and receptacle storage area cleaned.
