Observed employee personal drinks stored in kitchen in water bottle and Coke bottle and stored on prep counters and storage shelves with facility food. CA: Employee personal drinks stored in the kitchen shall be in clean, single-use cups with a lid and straw and handled/stored to prevent contamination. COS: Bottles were removed from the kitchen.
8-2B - toxic substances properly identified, stored, used
Regulation: 511-6-1.07(6)(o) - medicines, restriction & storage (p, pf)
Observed bottle of glucose tablets and a bug zapping device stored on a dry storage shelf with and above food product and single-use items. CA: Medicines and toxic items shall be stored separately to prevent the contamination of food, equipment and utensils. COS: Items were relocated.
12A - contamination prevented during food preparation, storage, display
Regulation: 511-6-1.04(4)(q) - food storage (c)
Observed several bulk containers of icing stored directly on the floor. CA: Food shall be stored in a clean, dry location at least 6" off the ground. Unable to correct onsite; employee stated they do not have enough dry storage space. Health department will follow up.
12B - personal cleanliness
Regulation: 511-6-1.03(5)(j) - hair restraints (c)
Observed employee preparing cookies while not wearing a hair restraint. CA: Employees handling food shall use effective and clean, disposable or easily cleanable nets or other hair restraints, properly worn to restrain loose hair. Could not correct onsite; employee stated there were no hair restraints available in the facility. Health department will follow up.
