EHS phoned Macon-Bibb 911 and could not hear the dispatcher; EHS could make out a partial sentence of dispatcher saying loud and clear. c) An operable, hard-wired, conventional telephone line or continuous powered source, weatherproof emergency phone shall be permanently installed in a conspicuous location within the pool enclosure and must be readily available to bathers at all times. The emergency phone shall be capable of connecting to 911 and electronically transferring an automatic number identification and automatic locator identification of the pool emergency phone to the public safety answering point, if available. A 911 sign or the names and phone numbers of the nearest available police, fire, ambulance service or rescue unit shall be posted nearby. EHS informed PIC of the need to have the phone serviced.

Observed pressure gauge on the pool filter that needs to be changed. EHS informed the PIC of the need for the pool company to change out the pressure gauge.

Observed facility with no lifeguard signage with hole in it and not having the required verbatim in 4 inch lettering: “WARNING - NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY and RISK OF DROWNING - SUPERVISE CHILDREN CLOSELY”. EHS informed PIC of the need to purchase the required signage in 4 inch lettering.
Observed low alkalinity levels. EHS informed PIC of the need for the CPO to balance the water chemistry.

Observed free chlorine levels were too high and EHS was unable to obtain a reading. c) Free Chlorine level in pools using cyanuric acid or a stabilized chlorine product; Minimum 2.0 Ideal 2.0-5.0 Maximum 10.0. Supervisor tested chemistry and obtained the same result; will reach out to pool servicing company.
