EHS observed the following:

Room 107-stained mattress pad Room 110-stained mattress pad and hair on sheets

CA-PIC needs to make sure that housekeeping is making sure that all clean sheets are free from hair, stains, and debris.

511-6-2-.14(6) - Bed, Bedding, and Linens Washable mattress pads or covers shall be used on all mattresses. Beds, mattresses, springs, slats, mattress pads, mattress and bed coverings, pillow and pillow covers shall be clean and free from vermin. Each bed shall be provided, as a minimum, with two sheets and one pillow and pillowcase. After each occupancy and upon the request of the occupant, sheets and pillowcases shall be changed with fresh laundered linens. During occupancy, linens shall be changed at a minimum frequency of not less than weekly

EHS observed the following items in each room:

• Medium to heavy stained linen in rooms: 112, 124, 110, 308, 304, 301
• Hairs on the linen in rooms: 124, 301, 304
• Burn hole in top layer of linen in room 304

511-6-2-.14(6) - Bed, Bedding, and Linens Washable mattress pads or covers shall be used on all mattresses. CA: Advised PIC that linen with stains, hairs, and/or holes are to be exchanged with fresh, clean linen. If items are unable to be repaired or stains removed, then items are to be discarded and replaced with new items

EHS observed microwaves with build up and stains inside of the unit in rooms 113, 122, 124, and 314.

CA-PIC needs to make sure that housekeeping is routinely cleaning the microwave in each room to reduce any stains and build up in the unit.

511-6-2-.14(5) - Condition of Furnishings All furniture, draperies, appliances, carpets, and other accessories, in the tourist accommodation, whether the property of the tourist accommodation owner or not, shall be considered the property of and furnished by the tourist accommodation for purposes of enforcement of this Chapter, and must be maintained in good repair, clean, and free of vermin

EHS observed the following in each room:

Room 113-burn mark on mattress pad. Room 122-comfroter and mattress pad had stains. Room 124-stained comforter Room 314-stains on sheets. Room 308-ripped sheets and stained mattress pad. Room 301-stains on mattress pad and sheets.

CA-PIC needs to make sure that housekeeping is changing all bedding items with clean ones. If bedding items are stained or damaged. Items must be properly discarded and replaced with new items.

Observed:

103: Tub paint peeling and bath fixture detached from wall. 107: Tub paint peeling 225: Bath fixture detached from wall 306: Tub soap holder broken and tub paint peeling. 311: Bath fixture detached from wall 321: Bath fixture detached from wall, paint peeling

511-6-2-.08(4) - Toilet Facilities-Cleaning and Maintenance Toilet rooms and fixtures must be smooth and nonabsorbent and shall be kept clean and in good repair. Walls, floors, and ceilings shall be constructed of easily cleanable nonabsorbent materials and shall be kept clean and in good repair. While being used by tourists, every surface of a bathtub, shower, shower enclosure, toilet and lavatory, which may come in contact with a person’s body, must be sanitized each day, unless the guest has declined regular tourist room services. If a tourist declines regular tourist room services, the tourist accommodation facility must ensure that these surfaces are cleaned and sanitized at least once per week and between tourists.

Corrective action: Spoke with PIC to repaint and reattached fixtures

Observed lightbulbs either missing or requiring replacement in rooms 103, 306 and 311

511-6-2-.14(4) - Room Lighting All rooms shall be well lighted. When natural light fails to provide sufficient illumination, evenly distributed artificial light shall be provided to maintain a lighting intensity of not less than ten foot candles at 30" above the floor.

Corrective action: Spoke with PIC to have lightbulbs replaced

EHS observed dusty air filters in the following rooms: Room 110, 114, 117,and 314.

CA-PIC needs to make sure that housekeeping is routinely cleaning all air filters in each room.

Room 110-stain and debris on mattress pad. A black mark on the sheet. Room 114- stained pillow case and mattress pad. Room 117-stained sheets and mattress pad. Room 209-stained mattress pad. Room 314-hair on mattress pad and blanket. Room 302-stained mattress pad

ca-PIC needs to make sure that housekeeping are properly changing mattresses with clean sheets and mattress pads. Any items that are damaged and stained must be properly removed and replaced.

EHS observed the following in the following rooms:

Room 104-Air filters and microwave need to be cleaned. Room 113-Microwave needs to be cleaned. Room 122- Hair in microwave. Microwave needs to be cleaned.
Room 213- air filters need to be cleaned and debris in microwave. Room 231- air filters need to be cleaned. Room 308- air filters need to be cleaned. Room 304- microwave needs to be cleaned.

Corrective Action- PIC needs to ensure that housekeeping are cleaning every microwave and air filters in each room.

EHS observed the following in each rooms:

Room 104- no mattress pad or mattress cover and black stain on sheets. Room 113- Stained sheets and hair on pillow. Room 122- Stained mattress pad, stained sheets, and hair on blanket. Room 213- debris on pillow case. Room 228-hair on mattress pad. Room 231- no mattress pad or mattress cover. Room 308- debris on mattress pad and stained sheets.

Corrective action- PIC needs to ensure that housekeeping is aware of changing each room with clean sheets and pillow cases. Nothing on the bed should have debris or stains if the room is vacant ready. Any items that are damaged need to be properly removed and replaced with clean items.

EHS observed water temperatures exceeding 120.

511-6-2-.07(2) - Hot Water Supply Cold running water under pressure shall be provided to all equipment that uses water. Hot and cold running water under pressure shall be provided to all lavatories, bathing facilities, laundry facilities, and water-using equipment where eating and drinking utensils are washed. In all new tourist accommodations, and where possible in existing tourist accommodations, hot water in all guest rooms shall not exceed 120F.

EHS informed PIC to correct the water pressure in rooms 111, 114, 126, 313. These rooms exceeded 120. This needs to be corrected by the end of the day 8/03/2023

EHS observed in rooms:

Room 114- Cigarette burn on mattress pad. Room 117- Spots on mattress pad and hair on the sheets Room 126- Mattress pad is missing. Room 127- Stain on mattress pad and hair on bed sheets. Room 128- stain on sheets. Room 130- Hair on mattress pad and sheets dirty. Room 312- Stain on mattress pad. Room 313- Stains and hair on the mattress pad.

EHS informed PIC about making sure that housekeeping is changing the sheets and making sure that the sheets and mattress pads are free from stains and hair. Needs to be corrected by the end of the day 8/03/2023

EHS observed in room 117 that there was hair in the tub. In room 130 there was a pink spot on the toilet seat in the bathroom. In room 313 there was hair around the toilet seat and a facet leak in the tub.

Toilet rooms and fixtures must be smooth and nonabsorbent and shall be kept clean and in good repair. Walls, floors, and ceilings shall be constructed of easily cleanable nonabsorbent materials and shall be kept clean and in good repair. While being used by tourists, every surface of a bathtub, shower, shower enclosure, toilet and lavatory, which may come in contact with a person’s body, must be sanitized each day, unless the guest has declined regular tourist room services. If a tourist declines regular tourist room services, the tourist accommodation facility must ensure that these surfaces are cleaned and sanitized at least once per week and between tourists.

EHS informed PIC about cleaning the toilets and bath tub. This needs to be corrected by the end of the day 08/03/2023
