Observed clean drain pipe from ceiling draining into handsink in main kitchen area. EH advised PIC that a handwashing facility may not be used for purposes other than handwashing. EH advised PIC to drain into wash portion of 3C sink as this sink houses dirty items. PIC is to fix.

Observed the need to designate an area for employee personal items such as coats and drinking cups. EH advised PIC that areas for employee personal items should be designated. Items moved. PIC is to place hook or container to designate areas for employees.

Violation: A sink used for food preparation or utensil washing, or a service sink or curbed cleaning facility used for the disposal of mop water or similar wastes, may not be provided with the handwashing aids and devices required for a handwashing sink. Inspector note: EHS observed temporary drainage tube for AC in handwash sink. Corrective action: PIC is aware of issue and informed EHS that the issue should be fixed no later than next Wednesday. EHS informed PIC that an alternative should be investigated to prevent use of 3C and handwashing sinks for drainage purposes.
