OKEFENOKEE RV PARK

Repeat: Observed sewer lines at sites 24, 47, and 52 that had rubber boots connecting them.

CA: Charlton EH told an employee that this is a repeat and that they must be glued together with SCH 40 PVC or replace with the regular RV sewer hoses. Rubber boots are not approved for use in sewer lines

Observed multiple damaged concrete pads at different RV sites with the concrete uneven or broken off in large chunks. Observed old scrap wood with nails piled up behind storage shed.

CA: Repair/replace concrete pads and remove the wood scraps

Men's bathroom vent fan has dust build-up.

CA: Dust vent housing

New: observed surface discharge of sewage from PVC pipe connection to RV at site 42.

CA: Charlton EH instructed PIC to have the leak fixed immediately.

Repeat: The PVC pipe at 42 is still connected together with rubber boots.

Observed multiple damaged concrete pads at different RV sites with the concrete uneven or broken off in large chunks. Observed old wood and rusted barrels stored loose on the grounds next to a fence near the main office.

CA: Charlton EH told PIC that the grounds need to be in good repair and free of unnecessary clutter. PIC stated that the customers break the concrete pads because they drive over them in the RVs

Observed frayed or exposed wires at: GA power pole #9289, RV sites 7, 39, 34, and 43.

CA: PIC will contact GA power to have them inspect their wires and fix. PIC states that wires at RV sites are telephone/cable wires

Observed PVC pipe used to convey sewage to the sewer drain at two sites (30 and 42) connected together with rubber boot connections.

CA: Charlton EH instructed owner to have the PVC pipe replaced with SCH 40 PVC pipe that is glued at the joins if they plan to continue to use PVC pipe, no rubber boots allowed, or they can replace the PVC pipe with regular RV sewer hoses that secure to the sewer drain

Observed gaps between drain line from RV and sewer drainpipe at site where the PVC piping terminates into the sewer drain via a 90° elbow set in the pipe, thereby not providing a watertight connection.

CA: Charlton EH discussed this with owner when discussing replacing of PVC pipes
