Observed mattress staining and linen staining on rooms listed below.

RCA: Informed PIC to change the linens and treat the stains on the mattresses. Beds, mattresses, springs, slats, mattress pads, mattress and bed coverings, pillow and pillow covers shall be clean and free from vermin

Observed heavy mold-like build up in all ice machines.

RCA: Informed PIC to stop use immediately and deep clean machines. In all new tourist accommodations, and in existing tourist accommodations when machines are replaced, only automatic dispensing ice machines will be allowed. In existing tourist accommodations permitted prior to the adoption of this rule, the use of existing self-service ice-storage bins may be continued, provided that the machines are maintained in good repair and capable of being properly cleaned and sanitized according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Further, a copy of the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions shall be maintained onsite for review at the request of the Health Authority

Observed staining on mattress toppers in rooms 140,248,242,255. Staining on pillows in rooms 140 & 255. Rule: All furniture, draperies, appliances, carpets, and other accessories, in the tourist accommodation must be maintained in good repair, clean, and free of vermin

Observed water temperatures exceeding 120F in rooms 120, 184, and 224. CA: PIC will have maintenance adjust water heater. 511-6-2-.07(2) - Water Supply and Sanitizing Cold running water under pressure shall be provided to all equipment that uses water. Hot and cold running water under pressure shall be provided to all lavatories, bathing facilities, laundry facilities, and water-using equipment where eating and drinking utensils are washed. In all new tourist accommodations, and where possible in existing tourist accommodations, hot water in all guest rooms shall not exceed 120.0F

Observed hair, staining, trash and other debris on "clean" sheets and mattresses in rooms 120, 184, 203. CA: PIC will educate housekeepers on properly removing any debris from clean sheets when making beds and cleaning rooms. 511-6-2-.14(6) - Bed, Bedding, and Linens Washable mattress pads or covers shall be used on all mattresses. Beds, mattresses, springs, slats, mattress pads, mattress and bed coverings, pillow and pillow covers shall be clean and free from vermin. Each bed shall be provided, as a minimum, with two sheets and one pillow and pillowcase. After each occupancy and upon the request of the occupant, sheets and pillowcases shall be changed with fresh laundered linens.
