PIC to adjust water heaters appropriately to ensure water in guest rooms at or below 120 degrees F.511-6-2-.07(2) - Water Supply and Sanitizing Cold running water under pressure shall be provided to all equipment that uses water. Hot and cold running water under pressure shall be provided to all lavatories, bathing facilities, laundry facilities, and water-using equipment where eating and drinking utensils are washed. In all new tourist accommodations, and where possible in existing tourist accommodations, hot water in all guest rooms shall not exceed 1200F

Observed live German roach under mattress in room 136. 511-6-2-.13(1) - Insect and Rodent Control Effective and appropriate measures shall be taken to eliminate the presence of rodents and flies, roaches, bed bugs, and other insects on the premises. The premises shall be kept in such condition as to prevent the attraction, harborage or feeding of insects or rodents. Restricted use pesticides, as specified in 40 CFR 152 Subpart I - Classification of Pesticides shall be applied only by a licensed professional. All pesticide applications must be in accordance with current state and federal laws and the product label. Applying pesticides within buildings using area fog dispersal methods or as warranted under DPH Rule-.20(4)(c) is restricted to licensed pest control professionals as part of an integrated pest management program

-Observed torn AC filters in room 228 and 223. 511-6-2-.14(5) - Condition of Furnishings All furniture, draperies, appliances, carpets, and other accessories, in the tourist accommodation, whether the property of the tourist accommodation owner or not, shall be considered the property of and furnished by the tourist accommodation for purposes of enforcement of this Chapter, and must be maintained in good repair, clean, and free of vermin

Observed hole in ceiling of bathroom in room 223 and holes in ceiling of 209. Observed debris on walls behind bed/bedside tables in room 137, 136, 124, 228, 223, and 213

RCA: Told PIC to ensure that they turn water temperature down

Observed staining on mattress pad, mattress cover, holes on covers, and pillow case in rooms 133, 219, 227, 233, 235.

RCA: Told PIC to make sure they have clean and fresh sheets, and pillow cases in all rooms. After each occupancy and upon the request of the occupant, sheets and pillowcases shall be changed with fresh laundered linens. During occupancy, linens shall be changed at a minimum frequency of not less than weekly

RCA: Facility shall be maintained in a state of proper repair

Observed hot water in all guest rooms at a temperature range from 121F-128F.

RCA: Adjust settings on hot water heaters. Hot water in all guest rooms shall not be above 120F

Observed mold build-up in bathrooms in room 217 and 219. Mold was observed in tub and around rim of tub in both rooms. Mold was also noticed around the handles and shower head in room 219.

RCA: Affected areas should be cleaned with a bleach product to remove mold.

Observed tub faucet and shower head not properly attached and sealed.

RCA: Shower fixtures should be fixed and sealed properly to prevent mold growth.
