Observed pink slime buildup along ice chute on 5th floor ice machine.

C/A: Ice machines shall be maintained clean to sight and touch

Facility unable to provide annual gas-fired equipment checklist at the time of the inspection. C/A: Upon request, the facility shall provide evidence of a current gas-fired equipment inspection

Observed stains on mattress protector in rooms 200 and 206. Observed stains on pillows and pillowcases in rooms 206, 212, and 504. Observed a stain on fitted sheet in room 504. C/A: Beds, mattresses, mattress pads, mattress and bed coverings, pillow and pillow covers shall be clean and free from stains

Observed stains on the sheets, mattress pads, pillow cases and the bed bug covers inside rooms 106, 329, 206.and the laundry room. CA Bedding and linens must be properly cleaned and maintained

Observed a white film on the window inside room 206. CA Window must be clean and sanitized

An accumulation of dust was observed on the air conditioning vents inside 206 and 517. CA Properly remove the dust from the filters. Filters must be cleaned as needed

Observed mold inside the ice dispenser of the ice machine on the 5th floor. CA All equipment must be clean and sanitized to prevent contamination

Observed the last inspection hanging in the back office out of public view.

C/A: The most recent tourist accommodation inspection report form shall be prominently displayed in public view at all times, between five feet and seven feet from the floor and in a public area such as the registration desk, where it can be read at a distance of one foot away

Observed the permit hanging in the back office out of view of the public.

C/A: Any person operating a tourist accommodation shall obtain and display a valid DPH tourist accommodation permit issued by the Health Authority

Observed no slip resistant material in tub for room 309.

C/A: Anti-slip tubs slip strips, appliqués, or slip-proof mats shall be provided in each bathing facility and shall be kept clean and in good repair

Observed housekeeping carts on the 5th and 3rd floor with an unlabeled spray bottle containing a clear liquid.

C/A: Any spray bottle used in cleaning a tourist room or stored on the housekeeping cart shall be labeled with its contents. Cleaners and sanitizer shall be used according to the manufacturer’s use direction and label

Observed water faucet temperature above 120f in rooms 305, 312, 209, 202.

CA: In all new tourist accommodations, and where possible in existing tourist accommodations, hot water in all guest rooms shall not exceed 120F

PIC was unable to provide gas-fired equipment inspection for 2023.

CA: Upon request, the operator shall provide evidence of inspection and/or correction of any deficiency

Observed water temps above 120F degrees in bathroom faucets in rooms 306,404,and 409; CA: In all new tourist accommodations, and where possible in existing tourist accommodations, hot water in all guest rooms shall not exceed 120F

Observed build up behind top shelf in fridges in rooms 306,325,and 404; CA: All furniture, draperies, appliances, carpets, and other accessories, in the tourist accommodation, whether the property of the tourist accommodation owner or not, shall be considered the property of and furnished by the tourist accommodation for purposes of enforcement of this Chapter, and must be maintained in good repair, clean, and free of vermin

Observed stains on mattress toppers and/or bedbug covers in rooms 306,325,404,409,424,511; CA: Beds, mattresses, springs, slats, mattress pads, mattress and bed coverings, pillow and pillow covers shall be clean and free from vermin
