2-2E - response procedures for vomiting & diarrheal events
Regulation: 511-6-1.03(6) - clean-up of vomiting and diarrheal events(pf)
Observed facility does not have any sanitizer nor a procedure as to what to do in the event of an incident happening C/A Responding To Contamination Events. A food establishment shall have written procedures for employees to follow and an EPA registered disinfectant effective against Norovirus available on-site at the food service establishment when responding to vomiting or diarrheal events that involve the discharge of vomitus or fecal matter onto surfaces in the food service establishment. The procedures shall address the specific actions employees must take to minimize the spread of contamination and the exposure of employees, consumers, food, and surfaces to vomitus or fecal matter.Pf COS EHS asked the PIC to go get some germicidal bleach and some type of absorbent material (flour, baking soda, cornstarch kitty litter) EHS handed the procedure to the PIC
4-2B - food-contact surfaces: cleaned & sanitized
Regulation: 511-6-1.05(7)(a)1 - equipment, food-contact surfaces,& utensils (pf)
Observed the ice bin with heavy accumulation of pink and black mold. C/A Equipment, Food-Contact Surfaces, and Utensils.
- Equipment food-contact surfaces and utensils shall be clean to sight and touch. Pf. COS PIS has 10 days to clean the unit and send pictures to EHS Update: Facility owner sent pictures of the clean ice bin on 08/07/2025
17A - toilet facilities: properly constructed, supplied, cleaned
Regulation: 511-6-1.07(5)(h) - cleaning plumbing fixtures- handsinks, urinals & toilets (c)
Observed the men toilet clogged with toilet paper and significant urine on the floor. C/A Cleaning of Plumbing Fixtures. Plumbing fixtures such as handwashing sinks, toilets, and urinals shall be cleaned as often as necessary to keep them clean and maintained. COS Facility has 72 hours to correct the violation. Manager stated that the plumber is aware and it will take a bit longer than 3 days to fix the issue. EHS will grant an extension if is needed
