Stained and unclean furnishings were observed in Rooms 116, 214, 207, 320, and 301, including chairs and dressers/nightstands with worn or soiled drawers. HVAC filters were unclean, lamps base rusted and shades unclean, and refrigerators were observed with visible debris and residue. Couch torn in room 320

All furniture, fixtures, and equipment must be maintained clean, in good repair, and free of accumulation

Corrective Action: Thoroughly clean and sanitize all affected furniture and refrigerators, repair or refinish worn drawer surfaces, and clean or replace HVAC filters as needed

Stains and small holes were observed on bedding materials in Rooms 214, 207, 122, and 301, including mattress pads, bedspreads, covers, pillows, pillowcases, and/or mattresses.

All bedding —mattresses, pillows, mattress pads, linens, and covers—must be maintained clean, in good repair, and free from stains, tears, or other visible damage to ensure sanitary conditions.

Corrective Action: Remove, clean, or replace all affected bedding items, including mattress pads, linens, covers, and pillows

Stains and/or small holes were observed on mattress pads, bedspreads, covers, pillows, pillowcases, and/or mattresses in rooms 309 and 209. All bedding, including mattresses, pillows, mattress pads, linens, and covers, must be clean, in good repair, and free of stains, rips, or other visible signs of damage to ensure sanitary and hygienic conditions. Replace or clean all affected bedding materials (mattress pads, linens, covers, and pillows) in rooms 309 and 209

Slow-draining sinks were observed in rooms 220, 209, and 309. Discussed with person in charge, facility must evaluate and clear the drainage issue in rooms 220, 209, and 309 to ensure sinks drain efficiently and remain available for proper use

Observed refrigerator and sofa chair stained in room 207. Observed trash and debris under sofa cushion in 207. Observed stains in refrigerator in room 322. Observed small stains and debris on chair in room 308. Ca: All furniture, draperies, appliances, carpets, and other accessories, in the tourist accommodation, whether the property of the tourist accommodation owner or not, shall be considered the property of and furnished by the tourist accommodation for purposes of enforcement of this Chapter, and must be maintained in good repair, clean, and free of vermin

Observed stains and/or small holes on mattress pads, bed spreads, covers, pillows, pillow cases and/or mattresses in rooms 322 and 308. Ca: Washable mattress pads or covers shall be used on all mattresses. Beds, mattresses, springs, slats, mattress pads, mattress and bed coverings, pillow and pillow covers shall be clean and free from vermin. Each bed shall be provided, as a minimum, with two sheets and one pillow and pillowcase. After each occupancy and upon the request of the occupant, sheets and pillowcases shall be changed with fresh laundered linens. During occupancy, linens shall be changed at a minimum frequency of not less than weekly

Observed bathroom door in disrepair in room 207. Observed trash behind bathroom door in room 322. Ca: Toilet rooms and fixtures must be smooth and nonabsorbent and shall be kept clean and in good repair. Walls, floors, and ceilings shall be constructed of easily cleanable nonabsorbent materials and shall be kept clean and in good repair. While being used by tourists, every surface of a bathtub, shower, shower enclosure, toilet and lavatory, which may come in contact with a person’s body, must be sanitized each day, unless the guest has declined regular tourist room services. If a tourist declines regular tourist room services, the tourist accommodation facility must ensure that these surfaces are cleaned and sanitized at least once per week and between tourists

Bathroom vent is observed blowing out in room 116. Bathroom vent is in disrepair in room 207. Ca: Toilet, lavatory and bathing facilities shall be mechanically ventilated. Where ventilation ducts are used, ducts from toilet rooms shall not be connected into return ventilation ducts to any other room. In existing tourist accommodations permitted prior to the adoption of this rule, the current ventilation must prevent odor, mold, mildew, and moisture. All new or major renovation of a tourist accommodation will require mechanical ventilation to be installed to the outside of the building separate from heating and air-condition systems

Observed foul odor in room 207. Ca: Ventilation shall be provided for all rooms. Where ventilation is provided by means of windows, they shall open directly to the outside air and the openable window area of each room shall be not less than 1/20 of the floor area served. Where ventilation is provided by other means, it shall comply with the requirements of the current International Mechanical Code with Georgia Amendments or future subsequent revisions adopted thereafter to provide comfortable living conditions, remove objectionable odor and fumes, and prevent excessive condensation. Ventilation systems shall comply with applicable State and local fire prevention requirements and building codes

Observed insufficient and/or worn anti-slip in rooms 207, 322 and 308. Ca: Anti-slip tubs slip strips, appliqués, or slip-proof mats shall be provided in each bathing facility and shall be kept clean and in good repair

Observed bath vents dirty in all rooms inspected. Observed bath vent in room 205 inoperable

Observed entry doors in rooms 115, 216, and 205 with visible daylight with doors tightly closed. Discussed doors shall be properly sealed to prevent entry of pest

Observed insufficient anti slip in rooms 115, 205, 216, 302, and 321. Advised Anti-slip tubs slip strips, shall be provided in each bathing facility in good repair
