The letters on the depth marker do not meet minimum height requirement of 4". Depth markers number and letters shall be tile and four inches minimum in height. Numbers shall be of contrasting color to the background on which they are applied. Correct prior to permitting season 2028

The cyanuric acid level exceeds the maximum allowance of 90 ppm. Reduce CYA to get maximum effectiveness of the chlorine. Stabilizer (if used) Cyanuric acid, ppm Ideal: 30-50 Maximum: 90 Comments: If stabilizer is: Too High: - May reduce chlorine efficacy Too Low: - Chlorine Residual rapidly destroyed by sunlight Note: Stabilizer is not needed in indoor or brominated pools and spas.

The words "No Diving" does not meet the minimum height requirements for the depth markers and there is no universal symbol for No Diving present at each depth marker. The words "No Diving" and the universal international symbol for “NO DIVING” shall be permanently visible at the edge of the deck for water five feet in depth or less, placed only on the deck beside the depth markers, and shall conform to that outlined for depth markers. Correct prior to permitting 2028

Observed that the side gate, when opened, gets stuck on the concrete path and does not close. Picture attached. Recommended action: There are two gates, and the main gate does close. Put a lock onto the side gate and only allow access through the main gate. Fix side gate before next pool season. CA: Facility shall provide and remain a barrier to inhibit unauthorized access.

Observed there are no available records onsite to verify twice daily chemical testing is performed. CA: The trained operator or responsible person shall collect water samples from the water in the pool for monitoring. The water quality testing frequency shall be completed based on the requirements of the code.

Observed that there is no available information to verify a daily safety check is being performed. CA: A safety self-inspection shall be conducted daily by the trained operator or responsible person and documented on a log sheet.

Observed that the vacuum line did not have a cover over it. CA: The vacuum line shall be protected with a self-closing, self-latching fitting that complies with the current IAMPO SPS 4- Special Use Suction Fitting for Swimming Pools, Spas and Hot Tubs.

Observed that the pool operators records were not available on site. CA: Written documentation of the operator’s visits shall be available at the pool facility.

Observed that the weirs were missing. CA: Each skimmer shall have a weir that adjusts automatically to variations in water level.

Observed that the skimmer equalize lines were not protected by the float valve assembly. CA: Skimmer lines shall be properly protected.

Observed that the hand rail at the far end of the pool, farthest from the side gate, comes completely out of the ground. CA: Handrails, if removable, shall be installed in such a way that they cannot be removed without the use of tools.

Observed that the life guard signage is incorrect/incorrect height. CA: Where no lifeguard is on duty, a sign or signs shall be placed in clear view at or near the entrance to the pool and shall state in clearly legible letters at least four inches high “WARNING - NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY and RISK OF DROWNING - SUPERVISE CHILDREN CLOSELY”.

Observed that pool risks were incorrect. CA: Where no lifeguard is on duty, a sign or signs shall be placed in clear view at or near the entrance to the pool and shall state in clearly legible letters at least four inches high “WARNING - NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY and RISK OF DROWNING - SUPERVISE CHILDREN CLOSELY”.

Observed that pool risks were incorrect. CA: Pool risks shall have the required verbiage and be the correct size.

Observed pool hours and peak occupancy were not posted. CA: Signs stating the hours of operation and a sign showing the peak occupancy shall be posted.

Observed that the piping was not marked with directional arrows. CA: All piping shall be marked with directional arrows as necessary to determine flow direction. All piping in the equipment room shall be permanently identified by its use and the pool and or aquatic feature it serves.

Tighten up handrails at stairs at far end of the pool.
