The emergency phone has been relocated within the enclosure. However, the installed box goes to a third party entity instead of directly to 911. This must be corrected prior to the routine inspection this season or the pool must remain closed until it is corrected. An operable, hard-wired, conventional telephone line or continuous powered source, weatherproof emergency phone shall be permanently installed in a conspicuous location within the pool enclosure and must be readily available to bathers at all times. The emergency phone shall be capable of connecting to 911 and electronically transferring an automatic number identification and automatic locator identification of the pool emergency phone to the public safety answering point, if available. A 911 sign or the names and phone numbers of the nearest available police, fire, ambulance service or rescue unit shall be posted nearby.

The letters on the depth markers on deck and pool wall do not meet minimum height requirement of 4". Depth markers are not present on tile. The markers are painted on in black paint. Depth markers number and letters shall be tile and four inches minimum in height. Numbers shall be of contrasting color to the background on which they are applied. The words No Diving are not permanent in nature on the pool deck; painted on. There is no universal symbol for No diving present. The words "No Diving" and the universal international symbol for “NO DIVING” shall be permanently visible at the edge of the deck for water five feet in depth or less, placed only on the deck beside the depth markers, and shall conform to that outlined for depth markers. Correct prior to permitting 2028.

The pool gate does not complete close and latch back when opened at different angles. The pool gate must self close and self latch to prevent unauthorized access to the pool enclosure.

The body hook is not securely attached to the strong pole. Ensure the body hook remains attached to the strong pole at all times.

The ring buoy is not Coast Guard Approved. A minimum one-fourth inch diameter throwing rope one and one-half times the maximum width of the pool or fifty feet in length, whichever is less, to which has been firmly attached a ring buoy with an outside diameter of approximately fifteen inches or a similar flotation device which is U.S. Coast Guard approved.

There are no available records onsite to verify a daily safety self check is performed. A safety self-inspection shall be conducted daily by the trained operator or responsible person and documented on a log sheet.

There is no available documentation to verify that the required chemicals are testing according to the code.

There is no available documentation onsite to indicate the visits made byt the CPO. Written documentation of the operator’s visits must be available at the pool facility. At a minimum, the written record must indicate the conditions of the pool as required.

There is no "FT" marking beside the depth markers. Each depth marker must have the number and letters that are 4" in height.

There are pieces of pool furniture too close to the pool edge. The deck, including coping, shall have a minimum four feet width of continuous, unobstructed walking area maintained at all times.

The bather load is not posted. A sign shall be posted stating the hours of operation in clear view near the entrance and shall state the theoretical peak occupancy.

The pool rules sign posted is not the correct list of pool risks. Ensure the proper list of required risks are posted and meet the minimum required sizing. The sign will have the heading “Pool Risks” in clearly legible letters at least one inch high.

The posted No lifeguard on duty sign does not meet the requirements of the code. Where no lifeguard is on duty, a sign or signs shall be placed in clear view at or near the entrance to the pool and shall state in clearly legible letters at least four inches high “WARNING - NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY and RISK OF DROWNING - SUPERVISE CHILDREN CLOSELY”.

The equalizer check valve and the float valve assembly (trimmer valve) is not present in each skimmer. Each skimmer shall be equipped with a trimmer valve capable of distributing the total flow between individual skimmers.
