Observed personal drinks stored on food prep surface in kitchen. One drink was in an unapproved container. CA: Employees shall consume food only in approved designated areas separate from food preparation and serving areas, equipment or utensil areas and food storage areas. However, drinking from a single service beverage cup with a secure lid and straw where there is no risk of contamination is allowed. COS: PIC removed personal drinks from kitchen.

Observed employee with artificial nails handling food without gloves. CA: Unless wearing gloves, a food employee may not wear fingernail polish or artificial fingernails when working with exposed food. COS: Employee washed hands and donned gloves.
