PIC stated they are in the process of having the unit repaired but are ordering ice to be delivered by an approved source until fixed. During the inspection, raw food items had to be removed from the walk-in freezer for room to store additional bags of ice. CA: Discussed importance of maintaining all equipment in good repair and working condition with PIC. Given large amount of ice necessary for cooling processes at this facility, the ice machine must be repaired by a licensed technician and in working condition in 1 week.
