Observed stains on linen and pilllows in several rooms (103, 443, 553, 650)

Observed no proper ventilation in any of the restrooms inspected. Advised PIC to have ventilation system serviced. 511-6-2-.08(5) - Toilet and Bathing Ventilation Toilet, lavatory and bathing facilities shall be mechanically ventilated. Where ventilation ducts are used, ducts from toilet rooms shall not be connected into return ventilation ducts to any other room. In existing tourist accommodations permitted prior to the adoption of this rule, the current ventilation must prevent odor, mold, mildew, and moisture

Observed several white paint stains on the floor throughout the room #231. Observed white stain on the blue wall in #120. CA: Advised PIC to clean up the paint off the floor and clean the stain on the wall. 1-6-2-.14(1) - Floors, Walls, and Ceilings Floors, walls, ceilings. windows, doors and all other appurtenances shall be of sound construction, properly maintained in good repair and shall be kept clean. In all new constructed and extensively remodeled residential kitchens used in bed and breakfast inns, coved base molding may be required. Walls and ceilings in residential kitchens shall be easily cleanable and light colored

Observed failure to maintain bedding and mattresses properly laundered. Observed in 8 out of 21 rooms various forms of debris and staining on beddings. Washable mattress pads or covers shall be used on all mattresses. Beds, mattresses, springs, slats, mattress pads, mattress and bed coverings, pillow and pillow covers shall be clean and free from vermin. Each bed shall be provided, as a minimum, with two sheets and one pillow and pillowcase. After each occupancy and upon the request of the occupant, sheets and pillowcases shall be changed with fresh laundered linens. During occupancy, linens shall be changed at a minimum frequency of not less than weekly. PIC had beddings removed by housekeeping for laundering

Observed failure to have proper drawing ventilation in restrooms. Observed in all rooms inspected with the exception of the rooms on the 3rd floor with vents not drawing out. Toilet, lavatory and bathing facilities shall be mechanically ventilated. Observed failure to maintain ic machines clean to sight and touch. Observed ice machines on floors 1-6 with mold like growth on plastic baffle. If self-service ice is provided, then it shall be from an approved water supply. In all new tourist accommodations, and in existing tourist accommodations when machines are replaced, only automatic dispensing ice machines will be allowed. In existing tourist accommodations permitted prior to the adoption of this rule, the use of existing self-service ice-storage bins may be continued, provided that the machines are maintained in good repair and capable of being properly cleaned and sanitized according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Further, a copy of the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions shall be maintained onsite for review at the request of the Health Authority. Scoops, ice buckets, and other ice handling equipment, shall be of easily cleanable material and construction. They shall be stored in a clean place and shall be kept clean. Glassware shall not be used to scoop ice. PIC shut down ice machines for cleaning
