Employee then removed dish rack from dish machine and put away the clean and sanitized pot with same gloves. If used, single-use gloves shall be used for only one task such as working with ready-to-eat food or with raw animal food, used for no other purpose, and discarded when damaged or soiled, or when interruptions occur in the operation. (P) Corrective Actions: Person in charge (PIC) had employee remove gloves, wash hands, done new gloves and rewash contaminated pot. PIC trained employee on proper hand washing and glove usage to prevent further violations.

Employees shall consume food and drink only in approved designated areas separate from food preparation and serving areas, equipment or utensil areas and food storage areas (unless drinking from a single service beverage cup with a secure lid and straw that is handled to prevent contamination of the employee's hands, the container, exposed food, clean equipment, utensils and linens, unwrapped single-service and single-use articles). Also observed cooked rice with no prep date. Refrigerated, ready-to-eat time/temperature control for safety foods prepared and held in a food establishment for more than 24-hours shall be clearly marked to indicate the date of prep or the date by with the food shall be used/discarded for a maximum of 7 days. The day of preparation shall be counted as Day 1. (Pf) Corrective Actions: PIC discarded egg salad and relabeled the fruit and tuna salad with the correct date.

18: .07(5)(o)Observed a resident's dog run into the kitchen. Kitchen staff stated she comes into the kitchen on a weekly basis. Live animals may not be allowed on the premises of a food service establishment (except for fish aquariums, controlled service animals, patrol dogs accompanying security or police officers, pets in residential common areas at times other than meals, and on outside premises when special requirements are met by this Rule). (Pf) Corrective Actions: PIC removed dog from the kitchen and was told that the door must be kept closed to not allow animals into the kitchen area.
