Room 521: Black/grey stain on mattress. Room 413: Hand sanitizer, dirt, and dust build up in between the boxspring and mattress. Pullout mattress cover torn and stain on mattress. Room 314: Reddish-brown stain on pullout mattress.

Rooms 314 & 414 must remain offline until pullout mattresses are cleaned or replaced

All rooms were observed to have no working exhaust vent in the bathrooms

3rd and 4th floor ice machines contained black and pink mold substances on the interior surface of the ice machine

Observed no evidence of an annual gas fired equipment report. All gas-fired equipment shall be inspected at least annually by a qualified licensed contractor or local fire authority. Please email a copy of the annual gas fired equipment reports to sabrina.young@dph.ga.gov or robert.lewis1@dph.ga.gov. Must be done within a week by 12/24/25.

511-6-2-.15(5) - Heating and Fire Safety-Inspection All gas-fired equipment shall be inspected at least annually by a qualified licensed contractor or local fire authority, if available. Points to be inspected are proper construction and installation, malfunctions and adjustments of controls and burners, faulty heat exchangers and vent obstructions. Any defects found on inspection must be corrected by a qualified heating contractor prior to use of the equipment. Upon request, the operator shall provide evidence of inspection and/or correction of any deficiency

Room 403 and 427: Observed the lamp shade heavily stained. Room 427: Observed the sofa couch in bad repair (needs to be replaced). Room 311: Observed the tv stand chipping. Room 210: Observed the lamp shade with a stain. Also, the tv stand chipped. Room 205: Observed debris around the sofa couch pillow.

511-6-2-.14(5) - Condition of Furnishings All furniture, draperies, appliances, carpets, and other accessories, in the tourist accommodation, whether the property of the tourist accommodation owner or not, shall be considered the property of and furnished by the tourist accommodation for purposes of enforcement of this Chapter, and must be maintained in good repair, clean, and free of vermin

Room 507: Observed the mattress pad stained. Observed the mattress cover with a hole. Room 514: Observed the couch cushion in bad repair. Observed stains on the cushion pillow on the couch. Room 408: Observed the sheet and mattress cover stained. Observed small stains on the mattress. Room 403: Observed stain on the mattress cover. Room 427: Observed a big stain on the mattress. Observed the mattress stained on the pull out sofa couch. Room 326: Observed long hair on the mattress. Room 305: Observed the box spring in bad repair.

511-6-2-.14(6) - Bed, Bedding, and Linens Washable mattress pads or covers shall be used on all mattresses. Beds, mattresses, springs, slats, mattress pads, mattress and bed coverings, pillow and pillow covers shall be clean and free from vermin. Each bed shall be provided, as a minimum, with two sheets and one pillow and pillowcase. After each occupancy and upon the request of the occupant, sheets and pillowcases shall be changed with fresh laundered linens. During occupancy, linens shall be changed at a minimum frequency of not less than weekly

511-6-2-.08(4) - Toilet Facilities-Cleaning and Maintenance Toilet rooms and fixtures must be smooth and nonabsorbent and shall be kept clean and in good repair. Walls, floors, and ceilings shall be constructed of easily cleanable nonabsorbent materials and shall be kept clean and in good repair. While being used by tourists, every surface of a bathtub, shower, shower enclosure, toilet and lavatory, which may come in contact with a person’s body, must be sanitized each day, unless the guest has declined regular tourist room services. If a tourist declines regular tourist room services, the tourist accommodation facility must ensure that these surfaces are cleaned and sanitized at least once per week and between tourists

Room 210,311 & 507: Observed the air filter cracked. Room 205,210, 305, 311, 403,408 & 514: Observed the ventilation not working in the bathroom.

511-6-2-.08(5) - Toilet and Bathing Ventilation Toilet, lavatory and bathing facilities shall be mechanically ventilated. Where ventilation ducts are used, ducts from toilet rooms shall not be connected into return ventilation ducts to any other room. In existing tourist accommodations permitted prior to the adoption of this rule, the current ventilation must prevent odor, mold, mildew, and moisture. All new or major renovation of a tourist accommodation will require mechanical ventilation to be installed to the outside of the building separate from heating and air-condition systems

511-6-2-.07(8) - Ice Supply If self-service ice is provided, then it shall be from an approved water supply. In all new tourist accommodations, and in existing tourist accommodations when machines are replaced, only automatic dispensing ice machines will be allowed. In existing tourist accommodations permitted prior to the adoption of this rule, the use of existing self-service ice-storage bins may be continued, provided that the machines are maintained in good repair and capable of being properly cleaned and sanitized according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Further, a copy of the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions shall be maintained onsite for review at the request of the Health Authority. Scoops, ice buckets, and other ice handling equipment, shall be of easily cleanable material and construction. They shall be stored in a clean place and shall be kept clean. Glassware shall not be used to scoop ice
