Observed no hand soap at the back handsink. Each handwashing sink or group of two adjacent handwashing sinks shall be provided with a supply of hand cleaning liquid, powder, or bar soap. Add soap to the dispenser or another kind of soap whether it be a pump or a bar as soon as possbile.

Observed employee scooping Italian ice and prepping and mixing more Italian ice without a hair restraint. Employees preparing or handling food shall use effective and clean, disposable or easily cleanable nets or other hair restraints approved by the Health Authority, worn properly to restrain loose hair including beards and mustaches longer than one half inch. Have employee obtain a hair restraint.

Observed an employee scooping Italian ice and prepping and mixing more Italian ice while wearing wrist jewelry on both wrists. Except for a plain ring such as a wedding band food employees may not wear jewelry including medical information jewelry on their arms and hands while preparing food. Educated employee on proper jewelry policies. Remove bracelets.

Observed chemical bottle labeled stainless steel cleaned stored above cookies in the prep area. Poisonous or toxic materials shall be stored so they cannot contaminate food. Person in charge relocated the chemical.

Observed an unlabeled chemical bottle near the fron register.Working containers used for storing poisonous or toxic materials such as cleaners and sanitizers taken from bulk supplies shall be clearly and individually identified with the common name of the material. Label bottle with its common name.

Observed employee scooping the frozen dessert items and making said Italian ice treats without a hair restraint. Employees preparing or handling food shall use effective and clean, disposable or easily cleanable nets or other hair restraints approved by the Health Authority, worn properly to restrain loose hair including beards and mustaches longer than one half inch. Person in charge (PIC) gave employee a visor.

Observed two chemical spray bottles without a label above the mop sink. Working containers used for storing poisonous or toxic materials such as cleaners and sanitizers taken from bulk supplies shall be clearly and individually identified with the common name of the material. Place a label on the chemical spray bottles.

Observed two spray chemical bottles that were labeled restroom cleaner stored on the drying storage shelf above clean food containers and utensils. Poisonous or toxic materials shall be stored so they cannot contaminate food, equipment, utensils, linens, and single-service and single-use articles by: Locating the poisonous or toxic materials in an area that is not above food, equipment, utensils, linens, and single-service or single-use articles. Person in charge relocated chemical bottles.

Observed no paper towels at the handwashing sink in the front service area. Each handwashing sink or group of adjacent handwashing sinks shall be provided with: Individual, disposable towels. COS: Person in charge replaced paper towels in paper towel dispenser.

Observed no paper towels at the handwashing sink in the Women's bathroom. Each handwashing sink or group of adjacent handwashing sinks shall be provided with: Individual, disposable towels. COS: Person in charge replaced paper towels in paper towel dispenser.

Observed no soap at the handwashing sink in the main kitchen area. Each handwashing sink or group of two adjacent handwashing sinks shall be provided with a supply of hand cleaning liquid, powder, or bar soap. COS: Person in charge replaced hand soap in the hand soap dispenser.

Observed a cleaning brush used for cleaning machinery in the handwashing sink in the main kitchen. A handwashing sink shall be maintained so that it is accessible at all times for employee use. Employee removed cleaning brush from handwashing sink.

Observed no employee health policies onsite during the inspection today. All employees must have their signed employee health policies on file at the establishment and must be present when asked by the health authority. Corrected on Site (COS): The Person In Charge (PIC) made copies of the policy and had the employees on the current shift read and sign them. Please have all staff read and sign the employee health policy.

Observed an employee's opened water bottle stored in the food prep area. Employees shall consume food only in approved designated areas separate from food preparation and serving areas, equipment or utensil areas, and food storage areas. However, drinking from a single-service beverage cup with a secure lid and straw that is handled to prevent contamination of the employee’s hands, the container, exposed food, clean equipment, utensils and linens, unwrapped single-service and single-use articles will be allowed.
