8 - annual gas fired equipment inspection on file; gas units equipped with automatic safety and/or 100% cut-off pilot
PIC did not have gas-fired equipment inspection forms available at time of inspection.
511-6-2-.15(5) - Heating and Fire Safety-Inspection All gas-fired equipment shall be inspected at least annually by a qualified licensed contractor or local fire authority, if available. Points to be inspected are proper construction and installation, malfunctions and adjustments of controls and burners, faulty heat exchangers and vent obstructions. Any defects found on inspection must be corrected by a qualified heating contractor prior to use of the equipment. Upon request, the operator shall provide evidence of inspection and/or correction of any deficiency
C/A: PIC was advised that gas-fired inspections must occur at least annually and forms must be provided at time of TA inspection for proof of completion. Inspection form to be emailed again
27 - all furniture, waste receptacles, draperies, carpets; clean, and in good repair, considered the property of and furnished by the tourist accommodation
EHS observed torn chairs in rooms 107 and 11, rusted clothes hanger rods in all rooms, and a peeling leather couch in room 111.
511-6-2-.14(5) - Condition of Furnishings All furniture, draperies, appliances, carpets, and other accessories, in the tourist accommodation, whether the property of the tourist accommodation owner or not, shall be considered the property of and furnished by the tourist accommodation for purposes of enforcement of this Chapter, and must be maintained in good repair, clean, and free of vermin.
C/A: PIC was informed that the furniture will either need to be repaired or fully replaced in order to provide proper furnishing for guests
15 - ice from approved source; properly handled, supplied and stored; equipment approved/clean
EHS observed mold-like growth on the white baffle of ice machine on the first floor.
511-6-2-.07(8) - Ice Supply If self-service ice is provided, then it shall be from an approved water supply. In all new tourist accommodations, and in existing tourist accommodations when machines are replaced, only automatic dispensing ice machines will be allowed. In existing tourist accommodations permitted prior to the adoption of this rule, the use of existing self-service ice-storage bins may be continued, provided that the machines are maintained in good repair and capable of being properly cleaned and sanitized according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
C/A: PIC was advised to clean baffle regularly to prevent growth of any mold-like substances
