Observed low chlorine levels with water sampling pulled from opposite ends of the pool(4FT-left side and 3FT-right side). (c) Free Chlorine level in pools using cyanuric acid or a stabilized chlorine product; Minimum 2.0 Ideal 2.0-5.0 Maximum 10.0. EHS informed the PIC of the need to contact the pool servicing company to balance the water.

EHS could not obtain a flow meter reading as it seemed to be stuck. (b) A flow meter measuring the rate of flow through the filter system with an appropriate range readable in gallons per minute (GPM) and accurate within ten percent actual flow shall be provided. The flow indicator shall be capable of measuring from one-half to at least one and one-half times the design flow rate. The gauge shall be located after the filtering equipment and in such location on the return line, so as to measure the total amount of water returning to the pool according to the manufacturer’s installation specifications. EHS informed the PIC of the need to contact the pool servicing company to address the issue.

Observed skimmers were pulling and the need to clean the skimmer baskets. EHS informed the PIC of the need to contact the pool servicing company to address the issue.

Observed no gauge on one filter and was unable to access the 2nd filter due to conditions surrounding the the filter/pump enclosure. a) A pressure or vacuum gauge or other means of indicating system condition shall be provided in the circulation system in an easily readable location.If not pressure gauge is on the 2nd filter, this issue will need to be addressed as well.

Observed facility could not provide CPO certification from ASP Pools. 2) The trained operator shall have a current certificate showing completion of an approved operator training course. A copy or the original certificate or documentation shall be available onsite for inspection by the Health Authority. EHS informed the PIC of the need to get a copy from the CPO from ASP.

Observed pool hours and bather load missing on/near the pool entrance. (c) A sign shall be posted stating the hours of operation in clear view near the entrance and shall state the theoretical peak occupancy. Facility is to post the information in lettering that is at least 4 inches in height.

When performing emergency test call, 911 operator was unable to hear EHS. Phone was static on both ends.

(c) An operable, hard-wired, conventional telephone line or continuous powered source, weatherproof emergency phone shall be permanently installed in a conspicuous location within the pool enclosure and must be readily available to bathers at all times. The emergency phone shall be capable of connecting to 911 and electronically transferring an automatic number identification and automatic locator identification of the pool emergency phone to the public safety answering point, if available. A 911 sign or the names and phone numbers of the nearest available police, fire, ambulance service or rescue unit shall be posted nearby.

PIC contacted Kings Phone company. King's phone company informed PIC that a technician will be out to repair phone, and facility will be given an date and time. This must be corrected by 05/17/24

EHS observed rope for lifesaving equipment frayed at both ends and shedding

b) A minimum one-fourth inch diameter throwing rope one and one-half times the maximum width of the pool or fifty feet in length, whichever is less, to which has been firmly attached a ring buoy with an outside diameter of approximately fifteen inches or a similar flotation device which is U.S. Coast Guard approved.

Informed PIC to have new rope purchased. This must be corrected by 05/17/24

EHS could not obtain a reading from flow meter due to it being inoperable

EHS was unable to access and read pressure gauge for pump due unsafe area with weeds/plants.

PIC informed EHS that landscaping will be out to clear location of plants and weeds to make it accessible. This was COS.

EHS observed left side hand rail for latter on the far right side of the pool lifting and not tightly secured.

1. Handrails, if removable, shall be installed in such a way that they cannot be removed without the use of tools.

Informed PIC to have hand rail replaced. This must be corrected by 05/20/24

EHS observed no markings on piping for direction of flow.

(6) All piping shall be marked with directional arrows as necessary to determine flow direction. All piping in the equipment room shall be permanently identified by its use and the pool and or aquatic feature it serves. Informed PIC to have piping marked. This must be corrected by 05/17/24
