6 - proper disinfectant level
Regulation: .17((1)(c) - proper disinfectant level
Observed low chlorine levels with water sampling pulled from opposite ends of the pool(4FT-left side and 3FT-right side). (c) Free Chlorine level in pools using cyanuric acid or a stabilized chlorine product; Minimum 2.0 Ideal 2.0-5.0 Maximum 10.0. EHS informed the PIC of the need to contact the pool servicing company to balance the water.
28 - flow meter: appropriate range and location
Regulation: 511-3-5-.07(4)(b) - (b) a flow meter measuring the rate of flow through the filter system with an appropriate range readable in gallons per minute (gpm) and accurate within ten percent actual flow shall be provided. the flow indicator shall be capable of measuring from
EHS could not obtain a flow meter reading as it seemed to be stuck. 17 - skimmers/gutters maintained and operable
Observed skimmers were pulling and the need to clean the skimmer baskets. EHS informed the PIC of the need to contact the pool servicing company to address the issue.
26 - gauge(s) in proper location; sight glass installed
Regulation: 511-3-5-.07(4)(a) - (a) a pressure or vacuum gauge or other means of indicating system condition shall be provided in the circulation system in an easily readable location.
Observed no gauge on one filter and was unable to access the 2nd filter due to conditions surrounding the the filter/pump enclosure. a) A pressure or vacuum gauge or other means of indicating system condition shall be provided in the circulation system in an easily readable location.If not pressure gauge is on the 2nd filter, this issue will need to be addressed as well.
32 - operator training certification available onsite and approved
Regulation: 511-3-5-.22(2) - (2) the trained operator shall have a current certificate showing completion of an approved operator training course. a copy or the original certificate or documentation shall be available onsite for inspection by the health authority.
Observed facility could not provide CPO certification from ASP Pools. 2) The trained operator shall have a current certificate showing completion of an approved operator training course. A copy or the original certificate or documentation shall be available onsite for inspection by the Health Authority. EHS informed the PIC of the need to get a copy from the CPO from ASP.
22 - signs: peak occupancy/pool/spa/signs legible and in clearview
Regulation: 511-3-5-.18(13)(c) - (c) a sign shall be posted stating the hours of operation in clear view near the entrance and shall state the theoretical peak occupancy.
Observed pool hours and bather load missing on/near the pool entrance. (c) A sign shall be posted stating the hours of operation in clear view near the entrance and shall state the theoretical peak occupancy. Facility is to post the information in lettering that is at least 4 inches in height.
