EHS observed AC air filter in room 102, 102, 127, 223, and 220 with dust accumulation. Violation: All furniture, draperies, appliances, carpets, and other accessories, in the tourist accommodation, whether the property of the tourist accommodation owner or not, shall be considered the property of and furnished by the tourist accommodation for purposes of enforcement of this Chapter, and must be maintained in good repair, clean, and free of vermin. CA: clean air filters at frequency to prevent accumulation of dust
Regulation: 511-6-2-.07(6) - single service items
EHS observed Styrofoam coffee cups not commercially wrapped in rooms 102, 103, and 223. Violation: Single- service items placed in a guestroom or dwelling units shall be commercially pre-wrapped to protect against contamination. Water glasses shall be inverted on a clean surface or covered with a single-service lid and other multi-use utensils shall be protected from contamination in a manner approved by the Health Authority. Equipment, utensils, dishes, etc. in kitchenettes provided for guest use shall be kept clean and sanitized between each tourist’s occupancy. If kitchenettes are provided for tourist use, then dishwashing detergent shall be made available for tourist use. CA: replace unwrapped single service items with commercially prewrapped items

EHS observed stains on bedding of all rooms observed. Violation: Beds, mattresses, springs, slats, mattress pads, mattress and bed coverings, pillow and pillow covers shall be clean and free from vermin. CA: ensure that all linens and mattress pads are clean and free from vermin
Regulation: 511-6-2-.08(4) - toilet facilities-cleaning and maintenance
EHS observed mold like build up on grout, caulk, and/or shower curtains in all rooms observed. Violation: Toilet rooms and fixtures must be smooth and nonabsorbent and shall be kept clean and in good repair. CA: Ensure that when cleaning bathrooms using products that will aid in control of mold or mildew build up

EHS observed the following in each room:
Room 101- Debris and hair on mattress sheets. Room 104- Hair on mattress pads and debris on mattress sheets. Room 136- Hair on mattress pads. Room 236-Hair on mattress sheets. Room 235-Stained and debris on mattress sheets. Room 234-Debris and hair on mattress sheets and mattress pads.
Corrective action- PIC needs to ensure while housekeeping is cleaning each room that the bed is being changed with clean items. If any items are stained badly and damaged then the items need to be properly discarded and replaced with new ones.

After each occupancy and upon the request of the occupant, sheets and pillowcases shall be changed with fresh laundered linens. During occupancy, linens shall be changed at a minimum frequency of not less than weekly

EHS observed varying degree hair, holes and/or stains throughout bedding (233, 234, 232, 106, 104). Corrective action: PIC will have housekeeping replace bedding and recleaning frames
Regulation: 511-6-2-.14(1) - floors, walls, and ceilings
Violation: Floors, walls, ceilings. windows, doors and all other appurtenances shall be of sound construction, properly maintained in good repair and shall be kept clean. Inspector note: EHS observed hole in bathroom ceiling (104) and ceiling peeling (106). Corrective action: EHS instructed PIC to have ceiling in rooms repaired
