13-202(i): Pool should have approved EAP located in place that is immediately accessible; Observed EAP not readily available and partially filled out, CPO listed all important phone #s and a new EAP will be developed with property manager, laminated, and attached to the wall behind the phone so it can be accessed

13-202(g) - a hardwired telephone with direct 911 access should be posted in a pool facility observed: call cut in the middle of the call & I had to redial 911 to reach operator again. The call quality was unideal & operator's voice kept going in and out. Recommend servicing phone before next inspection. Imminent health hazard.

13-189(c)(1) - Free chlorine levels must be between 3-10 parts per million (ppm) observed: Free Chlorine Levels were 2.30 ppm and 2.65 ppm on test and retest. imminent health hazard.

13-190(a) - Equipment shall be run such that flow is high enough for pool water to complete minimum required 4 turnovers a day. observed: Flow rate was 150 gpm; flowrate should be 260 gpm or higher for this 94000 gallon pool.

13-196(a)(4) - all circulation system components, including skimmers shall be operable & maintained. observed: 1 skimmer not working & no flow observed. Imminent health hazard.

13-188(h)(4) - Pool decks shall not retain any standing water greater than 1/8" inch depth & for longer than 20 minutes. observed: standing water puddling under pool entrance.

13-191(a) - Valves & piping shall be clearly labeled & water flow direction indicated. observed: no water flow markings & some pipes need labeling.

13-201(k) - A minimum of 1 diaper-changing station shall be present in each men's and women's bathrooms. observed: one bathroom did not have a diaper-changing station. no imminent health hazard.

12-190(a)(4) - pools must have two main drains with approved covers with no cracks observed: due to low visibility of water - was unable to verify compliant drain covers

13-189(c)(6) - Pools must have water clarity that allows main drains to be visible from the deck. Viewers should be able to view size and shape of main drain and to count the number of openings in the main drain. observed: Water was cloudy on arrival & main drains were not visible. imminent health hazard

13-202(g) - a hardwired telephone with direct 911 access should be posted in a pool facility observed: the pool phone connected to KingsIII company line --> must be rewired to connect directly to Dekalb Emergency Department imminent health hazard

13-202(d) - Each pool must have a Shephard's Hook on a non-telescopic 14-foot pole and a coast-guard approved ring buoy attached to a nylon rope 1.5x the maximum width of the pool observed: ring buoy was not attached to rope

CPO informed that pump room must be decluttered, with pool chemicals stored safely, and the room is enclosed with a door.

13-189(c)(6) At all times when a pool is use, the water shall be of such clarity that the main drains on the bottom of the pool....are clearly visible from the deck. Water was cloudy upon arrival.

13-202(i) Each pool facility shall have in place a departmentally approved Emergency Action Plan. EAP was available but not accessible.

13-189(c)(1): the pool shall be maintained in an alkaline condition at all times with a pH level between 7.2 and 7.8; I observed a 6.6

13-202(d): each pool shall be provided with a coast guard approved lifesaving ring with a firmly attached throwing rope that is as long as 1 1/2 times the max width of the pool; I observed the throwing rope not attached to the lifesaving ring

13-202(d): each pool shall be provided with a shepherd's hook attached to a non-telescoping pole with a minimum length of 14'; I observed the shepherd's hook not attached to the 14' pole

13-196(a)(4): each skimmer shall have a properly designed and operating weir; I observed weirs missing from some of the skimmers

13-184(e)(5): unsecured handrails are considered an imminent health hazard; I observed a handrail not firmly attached to the bottom step and I observed a ladder missing steps

13-202(m): rules must contain at a minimum the 12 statements in the pool code on page 42 for a pool; I observed parts of the sign not filled out like bathing load and hours of operation

13-202(i): a written copy of the emergency action plan (EAP) shall be located to allow for immediate access in case of an emergency; I observed no EAP in the pool area and no EAP was available upon request
