13-202(a)(2): Entry into the pool area shall be a self-closing, self-latching gate. Observed the gate did not close properly as the latching part was loose. Head lifeguard fixed the loose screws and corrected the issue.

Turnover rate observed to be a bit low (should be 458 for 165k gal pool at 6 hr turnover).

Turn overate was observed to be too low on the flowmeter.

Observed the flow meter reading at 270 gpm. Discussed with the person in charge that flow meter measuring the rate of flow through the filter system with an appropriate range readable in gallons per minute (GPM) and accurate within ten percent actual flow shall be provided. The flow indicator shall be capable of measuring from one-half to at least one and one-half times the design flow rate. The gauge shall be located after the filtering equipment and in such location on the return line, so as to measure the total amount of water returning to the pool according to the manufacturer’s installation specifications.
