8 - chemical feeder operational and approved
Regulation: 511-3-5-.16(2)(a) - (a) every pool and spa shall be required to have at least one unit of disinfectant agent equipment that introduces the agent through the circulation system in compliance with this rule
Observed that the facility was hand feeding chlorine tablets into the skimmers and did not have an operational feeder. CA: Pool shall have an automatic feeder to provide continuous disinfectant. Facility has operated this way. Chemical feeders must be installed prior to permitting next season.
36 - daily recordkeeping: water testing and self inspection performed
Regulation: 511-3-5-.22(12) - (12) a safety self-inspection shall be conducted daily by the trained operator or responsible person and documented on a log sheet.

17 - skimmers/gutters maintained and operable
Regulation: 511-3-5-.11(3)(g) - (g) the skimmer equalizer lines shall be protected by an approved cover/grated with a flow rating equal the maximum system flow divided by the number of skimmers in the system or the maximum flow rating of the skimmer, whichever is greater.
Observed that the skimmer equalizers did not have proper float valve assembly covers. CA: Skimmer equalizers did not have an approved covering.

Observed a large crack in the concrete of the deck. RCA: Repair crack. CA: Gaps larger than 3/16 of an inch shall be water tight.

Observed that the facility did not have proper signage and that the it only had the verbiage for no life guard on duty. CA: Where no lifeguard is on duty, a sign or signs shall be placed in clear view at or near the entrance to the pool and shall state in clearly legible letters at least four inches high “WARNING - NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY and RISK OF DROWNING - SUPERVISE CHILDREN CLOSELY”.
