The pH does not meet minimum requirement of 7.2ppm. Must be corrected prior to re-inspection. pH should be maintained between 7.2 and 7.8. Must be corrected prior to permitting.

The vacuum line is not covered with the correct fitting. The vacuum line shall be protected with a self-closing, self-latching fitting that complies with the current IAMPO SPS 4- Special Use Suction Fitting for Swimming Pools, Spas and Hot Tubs.

Pool chairs are present right at the pool's edge. Chairs must be pushed back to allow a 4 ft continuous walking space around pool. The deck, including coping, shall have a minimum four feet width of continuous, unobstructed walking area maintained at all times.

The "No Lifeguard on Duty" sign does not meet the code requirements; letter height is not at least 4 inches. Where no lifeguard is on duty, a sign or signs shall be placed in clear view at or near the entrance to the pool and shall state in clearly legible letters at least four inches high “WARNING - NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY and RISK OF DROWNING - SUPERVISE CHILDREN CLOSELY”.

.17(2): The is insufficient calcium hardness in the pool. hardness is required to be at 150 ppm minimum and 1000 ppm maximum. Speak with CPO about adjusting calcium in the pool.

The emergency box connects to a third party emergency provider and not directly to 911. An operable, hard-wired, conventional telephone line or continuous powered source, weatherproof emergency phone shall be permanently installed in a conspicuous location within the pool enclosure and must be readily available to bathers at all times. The emergency phone shall be capable of connecting to 911 and electronically transferring an automatic number identification and automatic locator identification of the pool emergency phone to the public safety answering point, if available. A 911 sign or the names and phone numbers of the nearest available police, fire, ambulance service or rescue unit shall be posted nearby. This item must be corrected prior to permitting.

The turnover is not sufficient for the pool. The minimum turnover rate for the pool is 92 gpm. Ensure the minimum turnover rate is always maintained.

There is no available documentation to verify a daily safety check is conducted. A safety self-inspection shall be conducted daily by the trained operator or responsible person and documented on a log sheet. See CPO Guidance Docs.

There is no available documentation to verify the daily chemical testing is done as required. The chlorine and pH must be tested twice daily for pools. The trained operator or responsible person shall collect water samples from the water in the pool for monitoring. The water quality testing frequency shall be as indicated in the CPO guidance document.

There is no available documentation to verify the CPO is checking the required information as indicated in the code. Written documentation of the operator’s visits must be available at the pool facility. At a minimum, the written record must indicate the condition of the following items: circulation, filtration, disinfection systems, safety equipment onsite, pool stairs and deck condition, water chemistry results, and corrective actions taken, if needed. This information must be documented at least twice weekly.

The incorrect No lifeguard on duty sign is posted. The first portion of the required sign is posted in the correct sizing, but the "Risk of Drowning- Supervise Children Closely" is not present. There is no sign indicating the bather load, nor the hours of operation. The peak occupancy for the pool is 55. A sign shall be posted stating the hours of operation in clear view near the entrance and shall state the theoretical peak occupancy

The chlorine level does not meet minimum requirements for a stabilized pool. The minimum is 2.0 ppm for chlorine. During operation, disinfectant levels are less than the minimum level specified in DPH Rule 511-3-5-.17. If the level of the disinfectant used is not specified in DPH Rule 511-3-5-.17, the disinfectant must be approved and kept at levels determined necessary by the health authority.

During operation, the pH is less than the minimum levels allowed in DPH Rule 511-3-5-.l7. The minimum allowed is 7.2.

The chemical feeder is not functioning properly. There are chlorine tabs present in the pool skimmers. Chlorine must be continuously fed to the pool through the feeder and can not be added directly to the pool for continual use.

There is no pressure on the filter pressure gauge. The air release valve is opened and no water comes into the viewing port. This indicates an issue with the filter. Ensure the filter is properly functioning at all times.

The body hook that is attached to the strong pole is broken. The body hook must be intact to properly function.

The flow meter is not properly functioning and the flow can not be determined. The minimum turnover rate for the pool is 92 gpm. Ensure the minimum turnover rate is always maintained.

A weir is not present in each skimmer. Each skimmer shall have a weir that adjusts automatically to variations in water level over a minimum range of four inches.

The float valve assemblies and the equalizer check valves are not present in each skimmer. When equalizer lines are present, all equipment must also be present in the skimmer to ensure the functionality of the equalizer lines.

Not all required Pool Risks are properly posted. Ensure all required Pool Risks indicated in the Code are present on the sign. The sign will state under the heading “Pool Risks” the following items in clearly legible letters at least one inch high:
