The gate where attendant sits is left unlocked and the pool is accessible to the public. There must be a self latching mechanism that ensures the gate is closed all the way. The staff gate is also left unlocked and there is no self latching mechanism to prevent the entry of the public into the pool. No attendants are present and no lifeguards are on duty. The presence of attendants and life guards to not negate the need for the self closing, self latching gates. However, there is no excuse for these gates remaining unlatched after the routine inspection that occurred on 6/11/25. The pool must remain closed until these gates can be properly functioning.
The main gate is locked (this gate now opens outward). The locking mechanism must be at least 54 inches high for mechanisms on exterior of gate. If the release mechanism is located on the pool side of the gate, it must be at least 3 inches below the grade of the gate. For the time being, it is safer to use the main gate that opens inward, but has the proper latching mechanism and the other two gates must be chained/locked.
