Observed gate not self-closing properly when opened fully and propping itself fully open. Corrective Action: CPO and responsible party were notified. Responsible party was able to correct tension rod mechanism with WD-40. Responsible party understands he must do regular self-checks on the gate throughout pool season to ensure gate is consistently self-closing and self-latching.

CA: Discussed requirement for an operable, hardwired conventional telephone line or continuous powered source, weatherproof emergency phone with CPO and responsible party. Pool not able to be open at this time. Responsible party will replace telephone.

Observed free chlorine level outside the specified range or less than the minimum level as specified in DPH Rule 511-3-5-.17 during operation. The average free chlorine level measured 1.39 and a small leak was observed from the chemical feeder at the time of inspection. CA: Discussed required disinfectant levels with CPO. Failure to maintain the required disinfectant levels is an imminent health hazard; therefore, the pool will remain closed until disinfectant levels are balanced and maintained. CPO will call Health Authority for to reschedule opening inspection.
