EHS observed buildup of a pink and a black mold-like substance on the interior of the ice machine.

Equipment, Food-Contact Surfaces, and Utensils.

1. Equipment food-contact surfaces and utensils shall be clean to sight and touch. Pf.

PIC was informed that food contact surfaces must be kept clean and ice machine was to be completely emptied and cleaned.

Observed food stored in the WIC without a cover. (CA) Advised the PIC that food stored in the cooler needs be covered except for when the food is cooling. storing the food in packages, covered containers, or wrappings, except for loosely covered or uncovered containers in which food is being cooled if protected from overhead contamination;

Observed several dented canned goods stationed in the dry storage area. COS: PIC removed damaged cans from dry storage area & proceeded to take photos for record.
